Ad this and have you seen

Just having a veg out day at home today. Not too much else you can do without a car is there. Asher had a freind sleepover and the little monkeys were still up at 11. Lucky for me I was still up. Will be going for a walk in a few ticks or so down to the shops.
Well my old scrap goodies are all bagged up and ready for the garage sale at Just scrapping this Sunday at 12.00. Just waiting to get the car back so I can run them down. lol I had to re check 130 odd bags of goodies as I had the wrong letter code written on them. When I usually shorten my initals I go with JAM, my first and middle names, it is sort of like a nick name I guess. Any we had to have a letter code for our baggies and I was given JAD but I automatically put JAM down on the sale list.
Any one who is a local pop on out as the sale is a lot of fun and you never know just what you will pick up.

Scrapping the music

We have had a nice long weekend this weekend and too make it even nicer I am on holidays. Not that I can actually do much as my car will be in getting a paint job. I had a great scrappy day with Jane on Saturday at one of out LSS. 12 hours of scrappy fun with some yummy food too. I managed to get three pages, a card and a altered bag almost finished. Although it is only the card(Owl one in last post) and my STM page I can share just now. Yesterday I just pottered at home sorting out some of my scrappy stash to take up to another local for a garage sale. Craig went out fishing and Missy A and I had a nice afternoon. Today Craig decided he wanted to go for a family drive and drive he did. We went and tried out the new freeway all the way to Bunbury, about an hour or so away. Had some yummy fish and chips, Missy had a play on the playground and then came home again and started sorting out some more stuff with a heap more to go tonight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new song is up Forever Friends and here is my page. Yeap another holiday photo. I pulled out the words Hanging out from the song as they so suited this pic of Missy leaning on the rail of the old whaling ship at whale world. I am slowly running out of them.
Don't forget to pop in and give me a few suggestions on what to name the owls in my new fav stamp and I'll pop your name a hat for a rak. I've had a giigle over one of the names Gladdie suggested, Jowlie.
Anyway thanks for popping in, any comments and till next time, tomorrow to show my latest ad this page happy scrapping.

Lime Tart news and a card too

Lime Tart is going to be starting something new. If you want to see just how you can win this scrummy scrappy pack

you had better pop into the blog on the 6th Oct to find out.

I also played along with the current Stampavie challenge which is an autumn theme. Here is what I came up with
using my favorite new stamp that I got from the Lime Tart shop.

These two little owls are going to be well used that I think they really need names. So pop in a few suggestions in the comments section on this post and Asher and I will each pick out our favorite name. So what do you get in the way of naming rights well as few stamped images of course as well as a scrappy rak.

Till next time thanks for popping in,any comments and happy scrapping.

It's up

This time round I had a play with making up a sketch, with some of my vintage goodies seeing as giving your project a vintage feel with your scrappy supplies and/or your photo is part of the challenge.
and I ended up doing a layout
and a card
so that the cardies that play along could see how the sketch can be used on a card.
Make sure you pop on over and check out the sponsor for this month and some new news too.
Till next time thanks for popping by, any comments and happy scrapping

Ad this and Lime tart

Ooops I'm a naughty blogger. Totally forgot to show my latest projects for Ad this and Lime tart so here they are.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is this weeks ad.
And my page.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got to work with the Half tart this month and enjoyed playing around with these scrummy papers.
Here is what I came up with.

Philippa also popped in some Grunge paper for me to do a product showcase for the blog. Seeing as I am enjoying making flowers I thought I make some out of the grunge paper.
Here they are, Three on cards, one to be shown shortly and the rest waiting for that right project.

and some more cards.

This one using one of the gorgeous Sarah Kay stamps that Philippa stocks. I have so far resisted temptaion to add any to my stash but was lucky enough to get a few images in a stamp swap we did with the other dt girls. This stamp is one I couldn't resist seeing as I am a lover of most things owl related.
Make sure you pop into the blog as something new will be starting soon.
Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I taught a class on Sunday. I felt a little lost as I left my prompt sheet at home on the table but I managed to wing it. lol
Here is the layout I taught.

All of the girls hadn't ever used tape and paint to give their pages a distressed look before so they went away learning something new.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Artistic Document

Is a forum I pop into every now and then and it was cyber crop weekend so I played along with one of the challenges.

The challenge was to use bright funky colours with spots, buttons and flowers and here is the page I created.

Well that is all from me for now. I'll be back tomorrow with my ad this page.

Scrapping the music and Ad this

We had the school sports carnival today and I was able to take the day of work to go down and watch my missy race as well as dodge the odd rain shower or two. After having to cancel last Friday due to the weather they didn't really want to cancel again today.

Here are a few pics of a very excited Asher, as she finshed her race, showing of her very first running ribbon and playing along in the tug of war game.

Some sunday sharing

I've had a busy few days this weekend. I taught class at Just scrapping, went shopping on Saturday, took a few photos of Missy and Reenie, worked on my STM and Ad this pages, a flower step post, which I'll share here and a card too and today the house got cleaned, some of Asher's crap or treasures if you ask her, got culled and the washing all sorted ready for it and the house to get dirty again. lol
These are my Hero Arts Asian doll cards that I taught yesterday and the girls in the class were probably cursing me with the amount of cutting out I got them to do but the cards all looked great in the end.
My class credit didn't last long, not that I thought it would lol. I picked up another album to try and get my pizza box stash under control and also grabbed me some of the new Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses range. I so love the backgrounds in this range. So much so that I have already used one on my Ad this page.
After the class Missy A and I went of to the shops as I wanted to get a new cat bed for Reenie and a tunnel as well. Both were a hit. I've not got a photo of her in the new bed yet but have got a few of her in the tunnel.
So love this photo and it is my week 37 photo for my 52 week album.
I also wanted to get a few more pics of Missy so we ventured out onto the patio with her new polly pocket pets for a little photo shoot.Just love that cheeky grin.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over at Mystical Scrapooks the girls have a challenge called We dare you 2. I was dared to make a shaped card using the colours white, teal, brown and black and no flowers and this is what I came up with.
Using the Date me stamp from Purple Onion. lol I couldn't use flowers so I snuck in the flower shape.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over at Enchanted Tracey set a challenge this month to make your own flowers and to share the steps in the forum. I had some fun making mine so I thought I'd share them here too.
Step 1
Cut and fray a length of material about 1" wide. I've got two here as my material wasn't as long so had to join them together.
Step 2
Lay your strip on a flat surface and shape it into a circle, like you would playdough if you were making a snail out of a snake. Adding a few tacks every so often to hold it in place.

Step 3
Tack the end of the strip to the side of the flower and flip so that you have the stiching on the backside.

Step 4
Finish with a button.

Tip -if you had some Jac paper you could punch or cut a circle a little smaller than your flower size and stick you flower down as you go rather than tack it and that way you can peel back the other side and pop your flower straight onto your project.

I have got this on my latest Ad this layout and once it has gone up on the blog I'll put it up in the gallery.

Well that is about it from me for now. I think I'll do some work on my blog and then I'll have an early night.

Till tomorrow thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

A small share yet again

lol I have been scrapping up a storm but not much I can share yet. I have been working with my latest Lime Tart kit as well as Scrapping the music and Ad this pages and some pages for my 52 week album which I have yet to take photos of.
I spent a nice day scrapping at Christine's today with Tracey. Yeap on fathers day. After Craig deserted me all day on Mothers day to go play with his remote control car club buddies I returned the favour and he had a daddy and daughter day while I went and scrapped. lol I warned him I was going to do just that. Pay back is a B***h they say and it felt so good.lol
I also had a little injury durring the week. Ooops. We brought our selves as a Wii fit a while back and while I was on long service leave I would get on it once I dropped Missy of at school but since going back to work I only get on it the Wed and Thurs I am of. Well Wednesday morning I go to do it and the Wii fit board is flat so I put it on charge and decided to play the sord play game on Wii sports resort. I was enjoying it until I moved the wrong way just a little too quickly and twisted my knee. I was fine for about half an hour and then it was really really sore. I had to go into Just scrapbooking to pick up my latest dt pack and Lou took one look at me hobbling in and laughed. I ended up staying and chatting to the girls who had come to crop and the shop girls for a few hours, stayed around for a yummy lunch as it was Jordies b'day the day before and gave the food shop the flick as there was no way I wanted to push or would of been able too push a shopping trolley around with the way my knee was. Any I went to the docs on Thurs arvo, still hobbling and I ended up taking Fri of work as well. As I had to rest my knee dh had to do the dread food shop and Craig being Craig put it of till Saturday morning thinking that I'd be walking ok by then to do it. Ummmm nope he had to do it and wasn't a happy chappy about it either. lol
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new jack is up or I should say jacks as this month as last you have the choice of two fabbo Aussie scrappers to jack Loretta Grayson or Kim Arnold. I chose to jack Kim's layout. I scribbled down a basic sketch and decided to scrap a 6 by 12 double layout.
I've had to take down my layout as it has been accepted into an Aussie mag. Sorry guys.
A few weeks back at school it was dress up day for book week and Asher wanted to go dressed as a swan princess so I grabbed some white material from mum and set to work one day after school making up some simple wings but no just having wings wasn't enough for Missy. While I was sorting them out she was drawing at the bench beside me. Drawing a plan for the rest of her costume right down to some leg feathers and a beak.
There went my simple idea out the window. An hour later we were done and headed out the back for a photo shoot. This was taken the morning before we headed of to school. You can get more of an idea of what our handie work looked like and at a very big streach of the imagination she passed as a swan princess.lol
Well that is about it for now. I'll be back tomorrow sometime to share my latest project for STM and Just Scrapbooking.
Thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.
