Aussie Scrapjack

The latest Jacks are up. Pop on over and see who they are and how the team jacked them.
Here is my layout. A jack of a album cover by Leeanne Allison.

U

I got a nice email the other day from Scrapbook Creations. They want to publish my New toys layout I did for last months jack sample.

I have been creating but alas not much I can share.

I completed my sample for the next Shabby challenge. I love what I have created and so dose Missy as it is now in her room on her dresser.

I have also worked on my May kit samples from Lime Tart. When I was at Just scrapbooking a few Friday ago I asked Lou if she had any picks of her children I could scrap and she handed me three bags of photos to have a look at. I claimed some that I knew would match the papers and when I went down to teach today, gave them to her, She loved them.
I'll share all these when I can.

This is the layout I taught today.

Bush Trek.

Well that is all from me for now.
As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Will post the whole layout once I know that Tam has seen it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well this weekend has flown by as usual.
Friday I did some more sorting out for a market on Saturday and a garage sale at our local in a few weeks. I then headed down to the local to tea die some doilies for a class next weekend. lol things I have to do when I thought being able to get hold of cream coloured doilies wouldn't be a problem.

Saturday I was up early and headed out to the market. I made $60 on more of Asher's old clothes, toys and stuff. One lady brought $30 in clothes. We then headed of to the shops where Missy got to spend some money that she had saved as well as the money from the sale of her dolls at the market. My FIL went through a stage where he would buy me and Asher a porcelain doll ever so often. We had six up on the top of Asher's wardrobe along with a clown for years without any issues until she started waking up with nightmares about a year ago. After about a week or so I finally got out of her what the problem was. She was having bad dreams about the dolls so they went into the sale box. She was wrapped that they were gone and she ended up with $25 to spend. We found a DS game she wanted to get and of we went to the counter to get it. All was going good until the lady couldn't find it in the drawer. I was going to leave our phone number for her to ring us as we had a few things to do at the shops but little miss attitude wasn't happy with that.

"Fine then I just won't get it" at the top of her voice and of she goes in a huff back towards the toy section.

In the end she found some more little pet shop toys to add to her collection along with an activity book.

Saturday night was more sorting for the garage sale and then same with today but throw into that, several loads of washing and some housework too. I now have all my stuff sorted, packed, priced and ready to go.

Well that is it from me for now. I am of to check out a few things on the computer then it will be shower and bed for this little tired scrapper.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Xmas and new year wrap up and my favs of 2009

Oh dear I am such a naughty blogger. I have just realized that I haven't updated my blog for a little while. Oops lol I think I have made up for that in this post. So you may want to grab a coffee.

Ok here goes.
Xmas Missy was up at 6.00 and all excited about the pressies under the tree and in her stocking.
Here is one of the few I snapped. She wasn't sitting still long enough for me to get many.lol
Her favorite pressie from Santa is her Bop it. Just loves it.We had breakie here with friends Jane and Jim and Santa came round on the back of a ute to deliver some lollies out front. Here is Missy waiting for him. Not very patiently mind you.We were all surprised when he called out Merry Xmas Asher as he tossed the lollies out from the back of the ute. We think Santa had words with Uncle Gareth. lol After our friends left we headed up to my parents place where we caught up with my sisters. Missed my brother and the five kids this year as SIL refuses to spend xmas lunch with anyone but her family.
After that we came home for a bit then headed out again, down to Mandurah to spend dinner with Craig's side. Home late and we all crashed.
The next few days we did not that much at all. I took Missy out to the movies to see the chipmonk squeakel with a friend, we went and seen Avatar with friends the next night.
New years was a quite one. Friends over for dinner and videos. We we so engrossed in the video that we didn't even know that new years had passed.

As for scrapping well I have done a bit, mostly working with my next Lime tart dt kit. Boy it is yummy. Want to see just what I have been playing with then pop on over and check it out on the blog. I've been having fun for sure.
Here is a little of what I can share.
52 Weeks.
Well no more pages scrapped yet. Have the pics printed though.
A birthday pic
A Christmas pic
and a pic of this layout.I created it for a challenge over at Artistic and seeing as I started my 52 week album with a pic of my first layout of the year I thought it would be good to finish it with my last.
I am so glad that I kept it up. I so didn't think I would. I will have to take a pic of my chunky album.
I also played along with two challenges at Mystical and created this layout for my friends sisters albumand this one for our family album.I also managed to finish of my last dt layout for the year over at Just scrapbooking using one of the pics from Missy's birthday photo shoot.
Favorites of 2009.
2009 seen the start and ending of some great scrapping vetures for me and I thought I would share with you all my favorite projects from each one.

Lou asked me to join her extremely talented team. I had a lot of fun jacking last year and I am staying on for this year.
This was a scrap diary for last year. lol I just finshed altering this years one a little while ago.
Scrap Therapy
After 1 1/2 years on the dt there it was time for me to move on.

After playing along with one of their challenges I was asked to join the team. I stayed on for about five months.Lime Tart
I joined the very talented team. My first ever kit club dt spot. I am enjoying playing with the scrummy kits that Philippa puts together.
Here is my favorite Tart layout although it isn't mine now. lol I scrap napped my friend Julie's gorgeous little girl and she has the layout now.Purple Onion
Not a new dt spot last year but Michelle has asked me to stay on for the next year.
Just scrapbooking
Not only did I start teaching here but I was also asked to join the design team.
Here is my favorite class layout and my favorite dt layout.Let's get shabby
Would have to be one of my best ever scrapping accomplishments this year. After a chat with my friend Mandy where she said she was going to try and find a shabby challenge blog I mentioned to her that I didn't think there was one and that she should start one. Well that was just the push that she needed and Lets get shabby was born.
Here is my first project created for our challenge blog.and here are a few just because layouts.

Well if you all have made it this far you have done well.
Till next time as always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

a big post.

with a bit to share.
I have had a busy but good week out here. Made even better to find out that I was the winner of Mysticals family ties competition. So can't wait to catch up with Donna for a coffee and see my goodies.
I did my usual Wednesday. Sent Missy of to school, quickly packed up some supplies and headed of to scrap at Just scrapbooking for a few hours. While there I managed to do one of my dt layouts. A big thanks to Philippa who let me scrap nap one of her photos.

Yesterday was the usual swimming. I so hate the Saturday swimming lessons and definitely will not be doing it again. If I can't get Missy in after school on a Wednesday it is so going to be Craig's job on one of Missy daycare days after school. After swimming we headed out to the shops as I needed a new bag. When I got in the car to go home on Friday I noticed the the straps were looking a little worn and when I got out once home it snapped. Here is my new bag and last weeks photo for my 52 week album. Now I am behind in scrapping them again. lol

After we got back from the shops I did some scrapping, dh cooked tea and Missy decided she wanted to sleep in the lounge so all the cushions were pulled of the lounge and a bed was made. Today I quickly did up a few Christmas cards and then it was time to clean the house.

Here is what I have been up to scrapping wise and can share.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lets get shabby

Over at Shabby it was my turn this challenge for the mid challenge step post and I have shared just how I did my patterned paper flowers on my current challenge sample page.

Also if you pop on over to the blog at the moment you will see that the girls have been up to some christmas card making. We have a card rak up at the moment and here is one lot of cards and a few scrappy goodies that are up for grabs. My card is the one on the left. I forgot to take seperate pics of it this morning in the rush to take these. There is also going to be a surprise or two as some are still in transit to me.

We are asking that you all pop in an share your favorite christmas memory and all the girls are going to share theirs too. Here is mine.

When I was little I can always remember christmas at my Nan's place. Mum has a brother and I can remember all the adults 6 of them and us 6 grandies crowed arounds Nan's table. It always used to seem so big. I have inherated the table which dosen't seem so big these days.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aussie scrapjack

The new jack is up and here is my page. I jacked Belinda's page.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have started a new comp called Fa la la. Challenges inspired by christmas carols. Here is my page for the first challenge.

The song this time round was All I want for Christmas and we had to use two, no smiling photos and have all I want in the title or journaling.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The latest challenge is up and this time it is a sketch. I had fun doing up this little post it note cover and matching pencil using my A la tart kit this month. This kit is full of yummy Cosmo goodies and has sold out already. So if you missed out it maybe worth while checking out a subscription.
Any way I think that is enough from me for now. I'm of to check a few of my fav forums and then it si of to bed for me.
Till net time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.
