Some scrapping to share yet again lol

This week has been a busy one and it ended with a big scrappy weekend with me being lucky enough to spend sometime scrapping with friends on both Saturday and Sunday. Lucky me. I'll share what I have done a little later on it the post.

On Monday we got hit with some storms. Lots of wind, rain and hail and a bit of damage about too. At work our power went of, out for nearly 24 hours. We, Craig and I ended up with some hail dents in our cars. Nothing major though, thankfully as it would of been a long wait for a panel beater to fix it. Craig snapped this pic of Missy holding one of the hail stones that fell out at Mum's.

On Tuesday I popped down to one my local where I dt at for my usual scrap morning only to find that the power was out. I didn't get to do as much scrapping, spent most of the time chatting with Lou, Jordie, Mardi and topping up mu stash of Copic markers.

OnFriday Missy had crazy hair day at school so I raided to craft cupboard at work for some pipe cleaners and wound then around 5 piggies in her hair. lol She called herself the red back spider princess.

On the way out the door for school we noticed a parcel on our doorstep for Missy. She was so excited about it and here she is with some of what was inside.

An assortment of toys all the way from America from one of the players over at the Shabby blog, Zandra. She read on my blog a while back about Missy and the love she has for her Pet shop toys and offered to send some of them over for her that used to be her daughters, Gabby. Well they couldn't find them and sent over these instead.
Thanks ever so much to you both. Missy has played with them all weekend.

Well that's my weekly wrap up. Here is what I have done scrappy wise this week.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just scrapbooking.

When I was down there last week Jordie gave me some Grahic 45 papers to play around with for a possible heritage class. Here is sneak of what I came up with. Just a sneak for now until Jordie has seen the whole thing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enchanted.

Were cyber cropping this weekend. I only got to one of the challenges, Tiff's scrap lift one. Here is what I came up with.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motivet and Stampavie

Now that I have got a small stash of Copic markers I have been having fun colouring in some of my Stamp images.

Here are some cards that I have created.

I got this cute hippo from Motivet in a swap with the girls over at Lime Tart and the bunny one I got in my bundle of goodies from a Stampavie challenge I won a while back.

I have done up the Easter card for the latest Stampavie Easter challenge.
I still have to master the blending of colours but I am getting there slowly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enchanted.

I have been playing along with the monthly photo swaps and this month I swapped with Ellen. Here is a sneak of what I have done. Will share the whole layout once Ellen has it.

Well that is all from me for now. Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

She did it and some scrapping too

Just what did she do you ask?
Well while I was out enjoying my work Xmas windup breakie yesterday Craig had the honour of taking Missy to her swimming lessons. She goes every school term and has been now since she was about 2 1/2. She has had issues with water for ages now and the big one was jumping into it. Well now that is a thing of the past as she jumped with no tanty, no bribery not once but 12 times and seeing as I wasn't there to see it I took her back to the pools today so she could show me and I managed a few pics.
I tried to get a front on pic but couldn't seeing as I didn't want to move to far away from where she was jumping from. Next week she told me she was going to jump from the end rather than the side so I may have a better chance then.

I played around with the challenge pack that we got for the Christmas carol comp over at Enchanted for the final challenge. We all had similar packs that we had to use a little of every thing on our layout. This time the theme was Christmas traditions and you had to be in the photo. There aren't many pics of me at Christmas time as I tend to be behind the camera so I had to go way back to get a photo. Back to the very early 70's that is. That is me in the sunnies with my sister and brother.
I pretty much took the words a little of everything to heart. The three papers were all 6 by 12 sheets. The trees and music you can see but the third is a small strip that is poking out from under the ribbon. There was a chipboard swirly tree with a start on top in the pack and it so wasn't going to fit in with the layout so I chopped the star of and added it along with a small green gem to my flower spray.

I also joined in on a cyber crop over at Mystical. I only managed to get a card done. I would of liked to have gotten to another challenge but I had some stuff for Lime Tart that I needed to sort out first.
The challenge was to create a Christmas card with a non traditional scrapping item. My item was the red background. It's a piece of wall paper that I got in one of my vintage kits a while back.
When Rach posted me over the extra images of Lily and Milo I needed to finish of the set of cards that are going to be in an issue of Stamping and papercraft magazine she sent me some of the Mistletoe mice as well. I am so going to have to grab me one of them they are so cute. I also used one of the Racheal ann miller sentiment stamps as well as a spray from my red Prima flutter vine that is a part of this months product picks.
I also played around with making up some photo Christmas cards and seeing as the latest challenge over at the Stampavie blog is a bow one I added twine bows to my cards and used another of the Racheal ann miller sentiment stamps that I got in the latest A la tart kit.
Well it has been a busy weekend here and I am beat. I'm going to hit the shower and have an early night.
As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Photos galore and some layouts too

Well I have had a busy but nice week off last week and am all set to get back into the work routine seeing as that big lotto win still hasn't come my way.

We had Missy's end of year dancing concert this weekend and seeing as the lead up week is busy with rehersals and stuff I always try and take that week of and it helps me get those last minute xmas gifts too.

Monday was spent doing some house work and sorting out just what I did and didn't have stashed for xmas pressies so that when I hit the shops Tuesday, Thursady and Friday I knew just what I did and didn't have. I pretty much have b'day and xmas sorted for Missy now.

Wednesday I did my usual. Popped into Just scrapping and scrapped, came home and vegged out with Missy after school, made pizzas for dinner then popped out to a friends place to scrap.

Jordie and lou have asked me to try teaching a few hertiage classes next year and this is a layout that will be my first heritage class. Will pop in and add details of the class time when I have them. Yes that little old me with my picnic plate on my head. lol

Thursday I did some more shopping and it was a great day for us till I got a phone call from the school. One of Missy's class mates who had been sick for a while now with cancer passed away. I was holding up ok myself till I got down to the school and a few of the girls were coming out of the class in tears. Missy was the only girl in the class that wasn't crying when I picked her up. When talking with her about it later on that night I asked her why and this is what she said.

"I'm not sad Mummy as I believe in angels and ghosts and that is what she is now." My little Missy sure is full of surprises that is for sure.

Even though I wasn't really in the mood I still ended up doing what I had planned that afternoon which was to go out back with Missy in her new xmas top and a hat for our xmas card photo shoot and then head out to the shops so Missy could pick out her xmas dec for this year and do some food shopping.

Here is one of my favorites from the shoot.

When we were looking at the xmas decs in the shop I suggested that she get something to remind her of her school friend and she picked out this little purple dove. She has since decided to pop it into the memory box that they are making at school for her so we will get her another one for her xmas box.

On Friday morning Missy reminded me that it was a free dress day at school with a summer theme so I sent her of to her bed room to get dressed in shorts and a t-shirt but no that wasn't good enough. She wanted to dress up as so I had to race around trying to make up a costume, along with all the rest of the usual getting ready for school stuff.

Want to know what it was she wanted to be. Here are a few clues.
She was something that has a white belly with two small white fins.

A grey back with a big fin and a tail.

Yes my little Missy wanted to go as a great white shark swimming in the ocean. I hunted for a grey top for her to wear and then grabbed an old white singlet of mine and tacked it on the front for the white belly. For the fins and tail I handed her some white card and some grunge paper seeing as I didn't have any grey card and she drew them along with a mask and I cut them out. One great white shark made in about 15 minutes.

Friday night and all day Saturday was taken up with three dancing concerts. Missy was in two items.

Robot number one. Musical theater.

Hannah Montana. Jazz.

As the awards for the juniors were given out after the lunch time concert on Saturday when we came home for a rest before the night time one I gave Missy her special gift for doing good dancing through out the year. A pandora style bracelet with a little butterfly on it. Every year after her concert she will get another charm for it. I decided to try and do something special for her this year seeing as she got a little upset that she didn't get an award last year.

Today after doing a few things here at home I headed out to Christine's for a scrap day. I had fun scrapping with frineds and chatting too. I managed to do a layout and a card. The layout is for the latest challenge over at Enchanted for the Carols comp. This time as we were dreaming of a white xmas so the challenge was to do a predominately white layout with a touch of one colour.

When we put up the tree on Tuesday night Missy decided she was going to do some tinsle dancing.

I can't show the card as it is the last one in the set of three that will hopefully be in an issue if Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft.

After I got home from Christine's it was a few quick snaps with the camera to get picks of the layout and card and then I did some more house work and dh cooked tuna mornay for dinner.

The new jacks have gone up over at Aussie Scrap jack. Here is my layout a jack of Fran's layout.

I've not shared a page in my 52 week album in a while. lol I've got the pics just haven't scrapped them yet. I am planning on doing them on Tuesday night.

Well that is it from me. As always thanks for popping in and happy scrapping.

Some scrapping to share and a rak up for grabs

I headed of to my monthly crop day yesterday and had a ball. Yummy food, great company, lots of laughs.
Here is what I did.
Sleep over invites x 2.
Missy is having a sleep over with two friends for her birthday. On the back is the little invite we typed out.

I used the Just a note stamp from the Circles set II and the frame from the Doodle frame set Purple Onion stamps.

Two layouts.

This one is for challenge four of the Carols comp over at Enchanted. We had a shorter time to do this one seeings as we were dashing through the snow, laughing and singing songs in a one horse open sleigh.

We had to use 1 photo of someone laughing and music paper. This is Missy laughing during last years christmas photo shoot.

I had some more fun with Purple Onion stamps. This time the Early 1900's music background along with the Lizzibelle alpha that Philiippa has up in the Lime tart shop. As you can tell it is becoming a favorite of mine.

This layout is for a colour challenge over at Artistic set by Kym. The colours were Brown, Orange and Green. The Basic Grey background I picked to use is more of a greenie brown so I have my brown, a touch in the twine.

Along with the Lizzebelle alphas I have used the Purple Onion Summer themed note block stamp.

I started to work on a Christmas twinchie for the current challenge over at Inkurable stampers before heading home from the crop and was able to finish it today in between doing some washing and just hanging out with Missy.

Here is the Twinchie with Missy's new Christmas toy who she has named Santa Paws.

and on a card.

I have used the Winter wonderland tape from the Holiday border tape set and the snow man and tree from the Celebitties Purple Onion stamp sets.

I also made another card at the crop but won't show it up here as it is to go with the one that was done up for the latest Stampavie challenge that has been accepted for publication asa set of three. One down another to go. Just waiting on another few images to come in from Rach as I used the last one I had here and I'll do the third one.

Seeing as I needed to put together another b'day card for Missy as well as a post for the Lime Tart blog to go up in the week I decided to kill two birds with one card and created this.

Oops think I should leave this one of for now. Lol will pop it up once it has gone up on the blog.

I used up some scraps from one of my old A la tart kits and a Sweet Lili Stampavie image that I received as part of a image swap with the Lime Tart girls. Lucky me I have one of my own on it's way very soon.

Would you all like to play a little guessing game though to see if you can guess just what my tip post on the blog will involve. I'll have a little bundle of cards up for grabs for the first person to guess.

The tip I'll be sharing is

-something I tend to do a lot on my cards but not often on my layouts

-similar to a tip post that was posted by Rach a while back on the Lime Tart blog but using something different

-I have 36 of something that I'll be using but would love to add to my collection if I can

Speaking of Raks if you are reading this Gladie can you email me your addie as I owe you some cards from the name my owls rak I posted a while back.

Well I think that is it from me for now. I have a date with my dd in the kitchen to make Fruit smoothies. She has been wanting to make some all day and I had convinced her to wait till tomorrow as a treat before we head out to her dancing concert rehersals but that was before she has something in her eye that I couldn't get out and I had to pretty much tie her down while dh was out getting fish and chips for tea and flush her eye with water to get it out. So it is fruit smoothies now as a bribe for letting me do what I had to go.

Anyway as always thanks for popping in and any comments you may leave and till nexttime happy scrapping.

Some scrapping to share

Hi there all. I have had my usual busy but nice mid week weekend and weekend.

On Wednesday I headed up to Just scrapping while there was a man out back here sorting out earth works for Craig's new shed. Yeap it was a wet day and he would of been totally soaked but the job got done.

Here is a sneek of a layout that I did. Why only a sneek. Well it is for a swap and my swap partner Tracey hasn't seen the full thing yet.

On Wednesday night I headed up to Christines to scrap with her, Jane and Sarah. I enjoy my Wednesday scrapping.
On Thursday Jane and I did some shopping to try and get ourselves sorted for a chrissy get together at one of our LSS. We are going to get all decked out. Will try and remember to get some pics. lol I still haven't gotten any from the chrissy do at Just scrapping. You would think that this scrapnut would remember to take pics of herself. Ummmm nope.

Here is some other stuff that I have done lately.

More pages in my 52 week album.

Week 44

Week 45
Week 46
Pretty simple to get them done and dusted so to speak.
Over at Enchanted they were cyber cropping and I manged to get one of the challenges done as well as this weeks layout for the carol comp.

Lisa's CC challenge was to use a Dr Suess title and either a animal figure or feature red and white and as an animal as such wasn't going to go with my pic and title I went with red and white.
I had some of my Purple Onion stamps out so had a play with them for this layout. The Lizziebelle alphas and Plain Jane label. The photo was taken earlier this year at the annual Swan fish.

Here is my Carol layout. This time round it was Rudulph. We needed to scrap a favoritie pet or game, use something metalic and add a heart.

This is my Friends Janes blue healer Cody.

Seeing as I got some new Purple Onion stamps in durring the week I had a play with them too.

Here is a card I did with one of the new Seasons Note Blocks.

Seeing as they are an American based stamp company the section covered has their Spring months on it so I had to do some creative embellishing.
And just a little chistmas tag that I have made up as part of my get up for the chrissy do next Saturday. I have used the Holiday border tape set ,the Small pine tree and made a second one for Jane but she is going to have a puppy pic on hers.
Well that is about it from me for now. I'll be back tomorrow to share my latest Lime Tart projects. I think I have enough here now don't you. lol

Some pics and a layout too

I have had a great weekend here. Busy but fun.
It all started out with the Just scrapbooking xmas party on Friday night. As it was Friday the 13th it was a black xmas theme. I managed to find some black tinsel, a black cowboy hat with merry xmas written on it and a grey t shirt with I've been a naughty girl written on the front. When I got there I was complaining about the tinsle being itchy so Missy Lou lou sewed it onto the back of my shirt and gave me a tail. I've not got any pics of myself yet but Missy Sandie has popped a few up on the Just scrapbooking blog and has a few on hers too. Carol and Lou were both snap happy so I am sure to grab one of me from them.
I also finally got around to taking a photo of the latest dt page I finished during the week.On Saturday it was the usual swimming lessons with Missy. She has had a few issues with swimming over the past few years and at nearly nine she is the oldest in her class by at least two years because of it. One of them is her fear of jumping into the water from the edge of the pool. She just won't do it. She did it once about two years ago and never again. The closest she gets to it these days is a squat from the edge. Well we have been thinking of enrolling her in soccer and she wanted to get a soccer ball so dh in all his wisdom promised to buy her one if she jumped in during her lesson, not squating. She grizzled and moaned about jumping in, not wanting to do it but still wanting the ball. Anyway I ended up having to stand at the end of the pool with her and I held up my hand and made her half squat with her hand touching my head and she did it and boy was she excited to get a soccer ball.So excited she even slept with it.lol.
Today I had to pop out early this morning and line up for dancing concert tickets. I only waited 30 minutes this year not an hour and a half like last. As I had a few hours spare before heading up to Just scrapbooking to teach a class I decided to pop up to another local where Christine, Tamara and Sarah were all cropping for the day. Had a chat with them all for a bit then of I went. lol I so wanted to make the most of my day off so to speak and didn't want to go home and be bombared by Missy and Craig.
Here is the layout I taught today. Some scrummy Graphic 45 papers and some more hand made flowers.
When I got home from the class Craig and Missy were out so I managed to get a little nana nap in before they came home and Craig decided to go out for dinner to Hogs breath as he sold his old car today. The last time we went there Missy wanted to buy one of the little stuffed hog toys and I said that if she had her own money when we went back she could so she raided her money box. Seeing as Craig had some money on him I suggested she ask him never so nicely to put in five dollars. He did on the condition that he owned half a hog. lol On the drive to the restaurant it was decidedthat they would take 24 hour turns with Hoggie as he has been called. At six oclock tomorrow Missy has to hand him over to for Craig's turn. He has special spot in Craig's car up front and at the moment is curled up next to Missy with her soccer ball, Princess her pet shop stuffed toy and a frog she borrowed from Mum's.At six o'clock tomorrow night Missy has to hand him over to for Craig's turn. He has special spot in Craig's car up front and will be going into work with him.
When we got home seeing as her room was a mess we had to do a bit of a clean up and in doing so she found $5 she had stuffed away in a Macca's toy. Yeap Missy is one for putting things away in the strangest places. lol Anyway she brought it out to me and this is what followed.
Missy- "I'm going to give this to Daddy"
Me-"Why"
Missy-"Because he gave me some money for Hoggie"
Me-"Just because you want to give Daddy back the money he gave you he may not want it. I may want to own half a hog"
Missy-"Oh" Walks into the computer room."Here Daddy this is for you"
Craig-Having over heard what we had been saying said"No thanks I want to own half a hog"lol
At the moment Hoggie is curled up next to Missy with her soccer ball, Princess her pet shop stuffed toy and a frog she borrowed from Mum's. Needs his rest as he is of to school for news tomorrow.
These pics will be my photos for last week and this week of my 52 week album.
I have scrapped my witches and new bag pics but not taken photos of them yet.
And to finish of this long post another layout.
Over at Enchanted they are running a Christmas carol inspired comp.
For challenge two inspired by the song O Christmas tree we had to do a layout that was mainly white and green using 1 tree and a symbol/number or letter in place of a word in our title.
Here is my page.Well I think that is enough for now don't you.
Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

a big post.

with a bit to share.
I have had a busy but good week out here. Made even better to find out that I was the winner of Mysticals family ties competition. So can't wait to catch up with Donna for a coffee and see my goodies.
I did my usual Wednesday. Sent Missy of to school, quickly packed up some supplies and headed of to scrap at Just scrapbooking for a few hours. While there I managed to do one of my dt layouts. A big thanks to Philippa who let me scrap nap one of her photos.

Yesterday was the usual swimming. I so hate the Saturday swimming lessons and definitely will not be doing it again. If I can't get Missy in after school on a Wednesday it is so going to be Craig's job on one of Missy daycare days after school. After swimming we headed out to the shops as I needed a new bag. When I got in the car to go home on Friday I noticed the the straps were looking a little worn and when I got out once home it snapped. Here is my new bag and last weeks photo for my 52 week album. Now I am behind in scrapping them again. lol

After we got back from the shops I did some scrapping, dh cooked tea and Missy decided she wanted to sleep in the lounge so all the cushions were pulled of the lounge and a bed was made. Today I quickly did up a few Christmas cards and then it was time to clean the house.

Here is what I have been up to scrapping wise and can share.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lets get shabby

Over at Shabby it was my turn this challenge for the mid challenge step post and I have shared just how I did my patterned paper flowers on my current challenge sample page.

Also if you pop on over to the blog at the moment you will see that the girls have been up to some christmas card making. We have a card rak up at the moment and here is one lot of cards and a few scrappy goodies that are up for grabs. My card is the one on the left. I forgot to take seperate pics of it this morning in the rush to take these. There is also going to be a surprise or two as some are still in transit to me.

We are asking that you all pop in an share your favorite christmas memory and all the girls are going to share theirs too. Here is mine.

When I was little I can always remember christmas at my Nan's place. Mum has a brother and I can remember all the adults 6 of them and us 6 grandies crowed arounds Nan's table. It always used to seem so big. I have inherated the table which dosen't seem so big these days.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aussie scrapjack

The new jack is up and here is my page. I jacked Belinda's page.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have started a new comp called Fa la la. Challenges inspired by christmas carols. Here is my page for the first challenge.

The song this time round was All I want for Christmas and we had to use two, no smiling photos and have all I want in the title or journaling.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The latest challenge is up and this time it is a sketch. I had fun doing up this little post it note cover and matching pencil using my A la tart kit this month. This kit is full of yummy Cosmo goodies and has sold out already. So if you missed out it maybe worth while checking out a subscription.
Any way I think that is enough from me for now. I'm of to check a few of my fav forums and then it si of to bed for me.
Till net time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Some sunday sharing

I've had a busy few days this weekend. I taught class at Just scrapping, went shopping on Saturday, took a few photos of Missy and Reenie, worked on my STM and Ad this pages, a flower step post, which I'll share here and a card too and today the house got cleaned, some of Asher's crap or treasures if you ask her, got culled and the washing all sorted ready for it and the house to get dirty again. lol
These are my Hero Arts Asian doll cards that I taught yesterday and the girls in the class were probably cursing me with the amount of cutting out I got them to do but the cards all looked great in the end.
My class credit didn't last long, not that I thought it would lol. I picked up another album to try and get my pizza box stash under control and also grabbed me some of the new Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses range. I so love the backgrounds in this range. So much so that I have already used one on my Ad this page.
After the class Missy A and I went of to the shops as I wanted to get a new cat bed for Reenie and a tunnel as well. Both were a hit. I've not got a photo of her in the new bed yet but have got a few of her in the tunnel.
So love this photo and it is my week 37 photo for my 52 week album.
I also wanted to get a few more pics of Missy so we ventured out onto the patio with her new polly pocket pets for a little photo shoot.Just love that cheeky grin.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over at Mystical Scrapooks the girls have a challenge called We dare you 2. I was dared to make a shaped card using the colours white, teal, brown and black and no flowers and this is what I came up with.
Using the Date me stamp from Purple Onion. lol I couldn't use flowers so I snuck in the flower shape.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over at Enchanted Tracey set a challenge this month to make your own flowers and to share the steps in the forum. I had some fun making mine so I thought I'd share them here too.
Step 1
Cut and fray a length of material about 1" wide. I've got two here as my material wasn't as long so had to join them together.
Step 2
Lay your strip on a flat surface and shape it into a circle, like you would playdough if you were making a snail out of a snake. Adding a few tacks every so often to hold it in place.

Step 3
Tack the end of the strip to the side of the flower and flip so that you have the stiching on the backside.

Step 4
Finish with a button.

Tip -if you had some Jac paper you could punch or cut a circle a little smaller than your flower size and stick you flower down as you go rather than tack it and that way you can peel back the other side and pop your flower straight onto your project.

I have got this on my latest Ad this layout and once it has gone up on the blog I'll put it up in the gallery.

Well that is about it from me for now. I think I'll do some work on my blog and then I'll have an early night.

Till tomorrow thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.
