Finally

some of my retreat pages. I have got some cards to share but as I have done them as part of this month Purple samples I will load them up once I get the ok from Michele.

I did this one for the ABC twist challenge I run over at Pages in time. We need to use a technique or product starting with B J O. Asher picked them out of her upwords and seeing as when she handed them to me she said look mum they spell job that was my twist to scrap about a job. I used buttons,Jenni Bowlin and and Oval. We were out gardening a while back and Asher picked up a stick and started to scrape the moss out from between the pavers saying that it was her new job out in the garden. I had a heap of fun on the weekend away playing around with making flowers.

This one is a double to go with a similar one I did for Scrapping the music seeing as the photos were taken at the same time.

Not too sure if I like it though.

I also made up a little tag.

I am planning on putting this on a retreat layout as at one time well all had to wear the Cute balls and there are photos of each of us wearing them.

Cards and layout too.

This time next week I'll be packed and heading of to my annual scrapping retreat. I so can't wait. The past few months have gone very fast and it won't be long now till I am back at work.

The challenge this time round was to make a wedding ot baby shower card or altered item and here I what I did.I have made a few of these baggies and they are so easy to do. I played around with Nics flower tutorial to make the flower on my tag. Thanks Nic I had fun and will be doing more for sure.

Pages in time

I joined in on a colour challenge as well as a whispers challenge this month and here is what I did. For the colour challengewe had to use the colours lime green, fushia pink and ocean blue on out creation and this is what I did.

The lime tart girls have all beeen taking about stamping and water colouring and I have been inspired to pull out some of my older stamps. I had forgotten I had this one.

This is the page I did for the whispers challenge.

It works like the chinese whispers game one person starts of with a layout and discribes it to the next person and so on till the end. We had four in the group and the first two layouts looked similar but the third and my own both look totally different.

Well I am of to sort a few things out before heading of to watch a friends daughter in her first school production so till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Pages in time

The US forum I pop into had a xmas in July crop on this week end and I have managed to play along with three of the four challenges set by Ann. Awesome challenges. I had a heap of fun.

Chal 1 was a sparkly shiny challenge and here is what I came up with. Another of a few b'day layouts from Missy's b'day last year.We needed to add in lots of glitter and sparkle so I used up a heap of my glittle thickers to make a background for my photos and embellies. I added some pearls to my handmade vine stalk and butterfly and some shimmery ribbon finished it of.

Chal two was a colours of xmas challenge and we could do a layout or a card so I thought I'd make a start on my xmas cards.

I used the current sketch over at Card patterns for this card.

Chal three was a xmas card challenge so I made another one using the word Joy from the Merriness christmas stamp set.Over on the forum I started a monthly ABC Twist challenge. I get Asher to pull out three letters form her upwords game and you need to use scrappy products/techniques on your layout/card as well as my twist. This month Missy pulled out H,P and U and my twist was to use stamping. Here is the page I did.

I went with manu products for my letters H=Hambly,P=Purple Onion U=Urban Lily. This is another page in my firends sisters memory album. I used the buttefly from the Brocante set.

Michele has brought out the butterfly with some smaller ones as well in a new stamp set. Pop in here to see the new stamps as well as details of a sale and pop into the blog to check out the last of the new stamp give aways.

Just scrapbooking

I heard from little Ellh's mum the other day and have emailed over a photo of her layout and can share the full photo here now. Lots of yummy Fancy Pants and more of those handmade vines. lol I'm addicted to them and will need to make some more. A scrapy weekend

I have had a pretty quiet weekend this week.

Saturday we popped out for a bit to get lotto and some goodies from my LSS for my latest STM page.

Did you hear that big screaming noise yesterday morning?

It was probably Missy lol. Part of our lotto routine each Saturday is her checking the tickets in the machine and if we win lotto she is able to buy a magazine. She has been wanting one of the cat magazines that come with a soft toy that are out at the moment for ages. Well anyway usually the response is Sorry and my Missy is a little glum but not yesterday. It's a winner mum It's a winner. She was jumping up and down and yelling so much that everyone in the whole news agent was in fits of laughter. Pity it wasn't a big win. Just enough for her to get a magazine and pay for this weeks lotto.

Today Craig was out racing his remote control cars all day so Missy and I had a pj day. We did the washing, made some biscuits, did a little housework, played wii, watched Tinkerbell, had a tea party and some scrapping.

123 Challenge blog

The challenge this month was to use material, lace, more than 6 buttons and hand stiching. I had fun with this one.

Pages in time

This weekend Lesley was running a mini crop and I managed to get two scraplifting challenges done.

The first one was to scrap lift yourself and I lifted my giving layout from a few posts back. This is my page for last week in my 52 weeks album. Missy nearly has the knack of tying her laces.The other scraplift challenge was to lift a layout/card/OTP project belonging to one of the dters. Luci does some gorgeous OTP projects and I lifted this page from a mini album that she posted and used it as a base for a card.I have popped this one into the die cut challenge on the Hero Arts blog. Not that I have many die cuts but they did have a few templates we could print out so I did that and stamped my favorite script stamp over it.

Pages in time

Over at Pages in time I took part in my first every round robin layout challenge and this is the page I ended up doing for it.

I used some Pink Paislee yummies from a Pages in times kit along with some items from my first What is old is new and a Purple Onion stamp from the Ornamentals set.

lol My first double for the year and it is straight. My cropping is just out something bad.

Kiddie lit

Is a new challenge blog I stumbled across and while back. Here is my layout for the Wild things challenge.

You needed to be inspired by the book and use Wild in some way. I love the book and all the woodsy pictures. I was going to add some trees to my page but seeing as they are in my pics of Missy on the trampoline I left it at that.

I also added some more of my WIOIS goods on this.

Scrap Therapy

Pages in time
I ran my last blind scrap over at Therapy durring the week and not without my usual mess up.lol Yeap I got my vertical and horizontals mixed up. Told the girls in the chat thread the paper strip needed to go vertical and in the no chat thread I had it the way it was surposed to go, horizontal.

I also used this page for a chinesse whispers challenge I started at PIT. Sort of like a blind scrap but you discribe your layout rather than give steps.

Week 21

I scrapped my week 22 pages today. Pics of two layouts that brought me some good news durring the week. Yeap, the good news I actually posted about in the last post. Rak winner

I got Missy A to do her job before going to bed. My own personal random mnumber generator. lol. I asked her to pick a number between 1 and 6, 6 being the number of people who emailed me with the right stamp that I sent you looking for on the Purlpe Onion site. The lucky number was 6 and number 6 on my list is my gorgeous scrappy pal Peggy. Can you email me your addie and I'll get your scrappy parcel on it's way to you. lol By the look of your little Missy scrapping away in the photos on your blog you may have to share.

Hero Arts

I am being a bit sneeky with this page. I am going to pop it in for both challenges. As I was pulling out things to add to it and playing around I realised it fitted into both the challenges.We needed to be inspired by an add about socks and part of the add was the word obessed and that is so my Missy about not wanting to wear socks with her boots. I have tried and tried to get her to but she just hates it and I've learnt that it is one battle that isn't worth fighting and she knows not to take her boots off or leave them any where that I am likely to smell them. lol

and for the card it needed to be a best wishes card.

I used some of my new Purple stamps on these. Some swirlies from the Oranamentals set and the butterfly is on the Brcante set which is on the same page.

Therapy

This weekend was the monthly Look what we can do with post and here is what I did with a Kaiser Clear album.

I am so not into Mini albums and decided to make up some door hangers instead. If you would like to be in the running for this last one check out my post in the link to the look what we did thread and share with us all photos of some other non mini album ideas for the clear album as I would love to have a few more ideas on what to do with the one page left.

Pages in time

Over at PIT I have set a monthly ABC Twist challenge. Missy pulls out three letters from her Upwords game and I add the twist. This month it is to use the products or techniques starting with the letters E L and F and to use three photos.

Here is my week 19 page.My week 20 photo of Missy home sick is on my kitchen bench to be scrapped after dinner along with this one for week 21.Yes I came home from my b'day lunch to find half of our back fence blown over in the storms we had.

Purple Share and a mean mummy moment

Hi again all. Three days in a row well that would have to be a first for a while I think.lol I got the ok to share my Purple Onion samples for this month from Michele so here they are.

Purple Onion

A few weeks back on our wedding aniversary we went of to Tranby House, where we got married, and had fish and chips by the river. I took my camera along and managed to snap a few photos of Missy making mud pies.

I have used the Skinny dip alpha and the Doodled frame set stamps (Not a good photo of it but is on the brown to the left of the photo as a background) as well as the postage mark from the Vintage postmark date set to journal on.

I'll also pop this one into a quote challenge that Kelly set over at Pages in time. When I seen the mudlicious and puddle wonerderful quote in her list I knew that I would be playing along.

It was Craig's dad's birthday yesterday so I played around with making a male card. lol I did have a ribbon threaded through the button but took it out. I used the Demask stamp to make the pattern paper.

It is also our Nieces b'day next week so I did her a card as well.

I used the butterfly from the Brocante set along with girl from the Doodled word set.

Now for my mean mummy moment

After day care today Asher was able to get on the computer and play on the My little pet shop site knowing full well that at 5.00 she would have to get of and into the shower/bath. Well at 5.00 she was asked to get off, she complained a bit and then stormed off into her bedroom where she laid on her bed, sulking and refusing to have a shower/bath. I gave her 5 minutes to make up her mind what she wanted and when she was still complaining at the top of her lungs mind you I gave her something to complain about...................Took her into the bathroom, opened the shower door put her in the shower fully clothed, including joggers and turned on the cold tap full bore. She then started to yell and scream louder but was I listening not until she stopped screaming. She stood in the shower looking like a drowned rat and I am sure she won't be fighting with me over having one again in a hurry.

Cropping fun and a photo too

I've had some fun chatting and scrapping this weekend over in Therapy for the cyber crop and in Pages In Time for their NSBD CROP.

Therapy cyber crop

Yeap the girls are cyber cropping and retreating in the same weekend. I so wish I was able to be over there right now. Oh well here's hopping for next year and a little bridietold methat Mandy and Michelle are making sure I have ample of room to join them in my dreams. lol

This month I got to set the card challenge and I got the girls to try their hands at making flowers. Something I am loving at the moment as you can tell from some of my projects.

Cosmo Cricket papers, Hero Arts stamps and Stampin up punches.

Now the challenges aren't due till midnight tomorrow so if you are lucky enough not to be working pop on over and check them out.

I've also been working on a few other projects for Therapy but can't share just yet.

Pages in time.

For the first time ever I played along with some challenges for NSBD. It is so big over in America with crops online and face to face ones happening all over.

I was lucky enough to get four challenges done. Maninly because you were able to do a layout or a card. I went with the card option for three of them knowing that I didn't have much time to scrap today after not finishing my STM layout till early this morning.

Handmade flower challenge.

Kraft and Bazzil cardstock, Prima and Sceneic Route papers, American Craft letters.

For the flower I punched out a scalloped circile and circle then layered them with a length of lace and a button.

I used a few extra pics I printed and didn't use from when I did my backyard wrestle layout a few months back. Both Asher and I hate Craig giving us Raspberries and that is what he is doing here when we set up the remote contol to take some family pics. lol I don't think I ended up with one nice one in the end.

Card challenge.

Kraft and Bazzil card stock,Purple Onion stamps,Carolee's Craetions letters, Prima packaging.

For this challenge we had to do some paper piecing, stamping and to use something recylced, either all three on one card or one on three. I went for the all three on one option using one of my new Purple Onion stamps. It is a scalloped one and I chopped it in half then re arranged them curved edge in to form the flower. Reminds me of the Pink Paislee ones.

Multi paper challenge.Kraft cardstock,Basic Grey papers and number, Making Memories letters.

For this one we had to use 4 patterned papers and shock horror. No flowers. Lucky for me I needed a boys b'day card.

Doodle challenge.My Minds Eye papers, Kaiser and Bazzil flowers and Stampin up punch

lol for this one I sort of had a head start. The base of the card had already been done and it just needed the flower and punchie to finish it of. Another couple of blank cards to have on hand just in case.

Here is my photo from last week. When I got the email from Lou asking if Asher wanted to be the JGDT over at ASJ I knew what I would be taking a photo of lol.She was so wrapped when shewoke up on Saturday morning and I showed the site too her.

52 weeks and some cards

Got some cards and last weeks page in my 52 week album to share.

Last week I got some yummy scrap raks in the mail from two of the nicest girls I have meet online. Missy Mandy and Missy Julie2 both part of the STM team.Mandy gave sent me some music papers and some Prima note paper too when she heard that I missed out on getting some because I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted it or not and Julie found some cute American milk bottle caps a while back and sent me over one with some ribbon too. A big thanks girls.

I've yet to take this weeks photo. Will be doing that tomorrow as something will be revealed that will be sure to make Missy A's day.

I stumbled across another card challenge blog thanks Jenn from Purple Onion and played along there too.The theme was trees so I pulled out an old favorite Hero Arts stamp and combined it with a new Basic Grey set that I picked up yesterday and some more My minds eye.

The Therapy cybercrop will be happening this weekend too along with the retreat. I will be missing out on all the fun at the retreat so the girls that will be there can you all remind Mandy that I WILL STILL NEED TO HAVE SOME ROOM AT THE TABLE FOR WHEN I COME TO SCRAP WITH YOU ALL IN MY DREAMS. Some of the girls at the retreat will have their laptops on hand so it is bound to be fun. Craig never did sort out that web cam for me.

Scrapping and some cards too

Well it is the last day of my holidays here so I have been tidying up, doing some cooking and am now vegging before starting the dinner, bath and dishes run around.

We went of roller skating yesterday. Well Craig and Asher did. I am so not a skater, never was. Asher was fine for about the first 30 mins or so, went round the rink with out letting go of the rail one. But then wouldn't go back on after she had done one lap. Started crying and made herself very upset. I think the whole experience was just too much to take in all at once for her. She was a scared of falling over, add to that the loud music, the disco lights and all the others whizzing past her on the rink she had a megga melt down. I couldn't do anything with her. She didn't want her skates taken of, didn't want a cuddle I couldn't even talk to her so in the end I just let her get over it in her own way and she did in the end. When she had calmed down she managed to skate around a bit in an area of the rink where it wasn't so busy but didn't go out on the rink and when we asked her later if she wants to go again she said yes so I guess that is a good sign.

I have left the greeting of this one so that I have a blank card when I need one at a moments notice. It will be quicker to add a greeting than to make up a new card.

While doing some blog surfing I also came across a new American kit site and thought I'd join up and play along with some of the chalenges. This layout and card was done for a challeneg to make a card from scraps of a layout and as I had the layout in from of me I thought I try and use the layout as a sketch.

Hero Arts.

One of the girs over in the flicka group posted a challenge to case or scrap lift a card from a Hero Arts catalouge so when I was packing up for my crop night on Friday I popped in a catalouge and got my friend to pick out a card for me. Silly me though I for got to add a few more of my Hero Arts stamps so only had one set there. Luckily for me my friend had some.
