Cards and layout too.

This time next week I'll be packed and heading of to my annual scrapping retreat. I so can't wait. The past few months have gone very fast and it won't be long now till I am back at work.
Here are a few things that I have done over the past few days to share.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The challenge this time round was to make a wedding ot baby shower card or altered item and here I what I did.I have made a few of these baggies and they are so easy to do. I played around with Nics flower tutorial to make the flower on my tag. Thanks Nic I had fun and will be doing more for sure.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I played along with the sketch this month and here is my twist on it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pages in time

I joined in on a colour challenge as well as a whispers challenge this month and here is what I did. For the colour challengewe had to use the colours lime green, fushia pink and ocean blue on out creation and this is what I did.

The lime tart girls have all beeen taking about stamping and water colouring and I have been inspired to pull out some of my older stamps. I had forgotten I had this one.

This is the page I did for the whispers challenge.

It works like the chinese whispers game one person starts of with a layout and discribes it to the next person and so on till the end. We had four in the group and the first two layouts looked similar but the third and my own both look totally different.

Well I am of to sort a few things out before heading of to watch a friends daughter in her first school production so till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Introducing

My swan princess.
It was book week dress up day at school today and My Missy wanted to go dressed up as a Swan so I grabbed some white material from Mum and made some not too flash wings. lol The rest of the costume was Missy's idea. While cutting the wings out she was standing at the bench drawing the rest of her costume, a tail, frills for the legs and a beek along with black eyes. She looked so sweet and I have got her drawing to scrap with some pics like the scrap nut I am.

Blog candy

Pop on over and check out what Melissa is giving away and this one here and this one here if you would like to be in therunning for some copic markers. Wow. Some yummy goodies for sure.

Some scrapping to share

I had a ball at my all day crop yesterday and managed to do 4 pages and I card. lol not that I can share all of them yet. Here is what I can.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blind scrapping with Beccy

It has been a while since I joined in on a blind scrap over at Therapy so I decided to play along with Beccy. Thanks ever so much I love my layout.

I've decided that I am not going to do a seperate album for our Albany holiday pics they will go straight into our family one but this is going to be the title page of sorts.

Make sure you pop on over and check out her blog as she does the most gorgeous stuff and is this years winner of Therapy's Make Believe Masters. Mandy last years winner has handed over her crown. Congrast again Missy Bec.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inkurable stampers

It has also been a while since I played along with Inkurable stampers and when I seen the challenge this month to use a playing card and stamping of course I just had to play along using some goodies from one of my treasured Ruby Street vintage kits seeing as it had a playing card in it.

The little kitties on the right of the photo of Missy A with two of her treasured dolls, Abbie and Rosie, is a playing card. Abbie, the bigger doll is one we gave her for her third birthday. She is pretty much nearly the same size as what she was as a new born and I made sure I kept a few of her special baby clothes for her. The little Eeyore suit is one. Rosie is her first doll. When she was about 6 months she started to lose interest in her dummy and started sucking her thumb. I so didn't want her to do that so got her Rosie in the hope that I could encourage her to suck her hand but with no luck. Three years or so later she had progressed from sucking her thumb to her finger as I kept on taping her thumb with a fabric bandaid, which she hated the taste of it and seeing as I moved from taping the thumb to taping the finger she gave up.

The photo or another of the six odd i took lol is also my week 30 photo for my 52 week album. I have that page half scrapped.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just have to share this with you all. I am so going to be playing around with my stash of Kaiser flowers, making me up some more paper bag vines and adding some rose vines to my flower collection. Thanks heaps Missy Nic.

Well till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Scrapping the music

The new song is up. Nickleback. If today was your last day.

I used up one of my treasured vines on this along with some of my Ruby Street and D-lish scrapping goodies. Craig and Asher made it 3/4's of the way up and the reason for the added quote tag which reads to almost do,fall short.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And here is my page. I have scrapped this to pass onto a friends daughter seeing a it is her and another friend in the photo with Missy.

Some more to share

I've had a nice day at home today and as it was raining managed to get some scrapping done in between sorting out washing, entertaining dd cooking dinner and a little housework lol

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The US forum I pop into had a xmas in July crop on this week end and I have managed to play along with three of the four challenges set by Ann. Awesome challenges. I had a heap of fun.

Chal 1 was a sparkly shiny challenge and here is what I came up with. Another of a few b'day layouts from Missy's b'day last year.We needed to add in lots of glitter and sparkle so I used up a heap of my glittle thickers to make a background for my photos and embellies. I added some pearls to my handmade vine stalk and butterfly and some shimmery ribbon finished it of.

Chal two was a colours of xmas challenge and we could do a layout or a card so I thought I'd make a start on my xmas cards.

I used the current sketch over at Card patterns for this card.
Chal three was a xmas card challenge so I made another one using the word Joy from the Merriness christmas stamp set.Over on the forum I started a monthly ABC Twist challenge. I get Asher to pull out three letters form her upwords game and you need to use scrappy products/techniques on your layout/card as well as my twist. This month Missy pulled out H,P and U and my twist was to use stamping. Here is the page I did.

I went with manu products for my letters H=Hambly,P=Purple Onion U=Urban Lily. This is another page in my firends sisters memory album. I used the buttefly from the Brocante set.

Michele has brought out the butterfly with some smaller ones as well in a new stamp set. Pop in here to see the new stamps as well as details of a sale and pop into the blog to check out the last of the new stamp give aways.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lime Tart projects

Here are the projects I did with my first Lime Tart. I enjoyed working with it and can't wait for my next Lime Tart pizza box.
When I first seen the Heidi Swap chip board in the kit as it was something I've not used before I ended up doing some mega playing around with my distress inks, sandpaper and rub ons too. With my cheeky grin page I dabbed my ink sponge onto my ink pad and smoothed it on
On this page I did up for my fellow STM dter Julie I chopped one of the chipboard peices in half and gave it a sand before swipping it with the ink so that it had a worn look to it.
And my cards.
Don't forget to pop on over to the gallery and check out what the others have done.
Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

I just realised I'm a bit behind in sharing my pages so here goes.
Week 25
Comfy cat
Reenie decided the best place for a nap was on my clean washing.
Week 26
Ruby street goodies.
A pic of my first of many to come Ruby street goodies. I so love them.
I'm yet to scrap these ones. May do that tonight.
Week 27
Albany holiday
Week 28
New washer

As always thanks and happy scrapping.

Scrapping the music.

The new song is up What I like about you. I had fun scrapping one of my many Albany pics for this one. While down there we popped into the Rivers store as DH wanted some new boots and I seen this Parka for Missy and she loves it. I was very surprised she did with her issues and such so grabbed it. When going over the lyrics the word keep me warm kept jumping out at me and warm she was. It came in handy the next day when we went out to Bluff knoll.I also had a play around with making my own vine out of a brown paper bag. You can find the tutorial here. I ended up cutting some of my strips to 1 1/2 inches as I found 3 made a chunkier vine. And I made the flowers from some dress patterns that my Ruby street goodies came wrapped in. Thanks Nicole for the idea to use one of my many punches. You can find her flower tutorial up on the Lime Tart blog.
I had fun making up the vine that I have since done another which I will share once I get the photos of my camera.
Did you notice the Jenni Bolwin papers on my page? I used my dt pack from Just scrapping to do it. Some of the papers threw me at first but I got there in the end.
Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

The Lime Tart gallery is up

Enjoy girls. I'll be back to post my projects later on today.

She emailed me with the correct stamp set that the butterfly on one of my Purple Onion cards came from.
Can you email me with your addie and I'll post out your scrappy bundle.

Holiday snaps

Finally got around to getting my holiday photos of the cameras. We took Craigs as well as mine of which I am glad as mine is a bit bulky and heavy.
This is taken on the replica of one of the first ships to come out to Albany. We ended up going below decks and Craig being 6 foot 5 had to duck.
Missy A modeling her new jacket before staring out on the trek to climb bluff Knoll.
This is a photo I snapped of Missy and Craig heading up the path that leads up to the top of Bluff Knoll. They made it 3/4's of the way up.
This photo Craig snapped of me chickening out after 15/20 mins. I was buggered and turned around and waited in the car for my two adventurers to return. These pics were taken at the blow holes.
And this one is my favorite. After coming up from the blow holes we stopped to admire the view and of in the distant we could see some whales splashing about. Not close enough to get any decent photos but Missy had fun trying out Craig's binoculars.
Well now I can't complain about not having any photos to scrap can I. lol I have already scrapped the new jacket one.
Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.
