Last page for 2008

Is a page I did for this weeks Hero Arts blog challenge . I scraped some of the photos taken at home on Christmas morning and I just had to include the bottum up in the air ones.
I also joined in on a just for fun challenge over at one of the places I pop into to make up some lollypop flowers. I love how this turned out and will be making some more. If you would like to see how they were made then check out this youtube video.
This layout is one of my favorites for 2008 and I will post the rest in the new new as one of my favs is one I have done for January's Aussie Scrapjack which I can't share just now.
Hope you all have a safe and happy new years eve whatever you are doing. We have a few friends over for a BBQ tonight and I am sure it will most probably end with all of us(8) at some point playing on the new wii or as Missy calls it the Will.
Anyway as always thanks for stopping by, any comments and till next time happy scrapping

Christmas pics and cybercropping too

Hoping you all had a nice christmas. We had a busy but nice one here.
Asher woke at 6 and we did stockings, Hers, mine and then Craigs and next we headed into the lounge where she played Santa by pulling out all the pressies. I just had to take this pic. lol
We then had friends come round for breakfast where there were a few more pressies and parents in laws popped in too. From there it was up to brother in laws for lunch and more pressies and then on my parents for tea and more pressies. Missy got totally spoilt all round and I have been madly trying to sort out/cull some of the old stuff to make room for the new.
Add to that the shuffling around of the lounge/family tv cabinets to accomadate the new big tv dh just had to buy as well and I have been a very busy girl. It is just as well I'm not back at work till Monday then.
We have been having a few quiet days at home just vegging as it has been hot but today we went up to see some friends for lunch and Asher had a blast. We had to pick the hottest day to go out didn't we.
Anyone up for a rak? Well you had better pop on over to Scrapping the music.
The dt have made up some cards, 30 to be exact, that you can win just by commenting this week as there is no new song. And next week there will be the naming of three new dters. I am so excited to be working alongside these three girls.
Who feels like Cybercropping?
I do and seeing as this month at Therapy the dt are on holidays some of our members will be running it and the monthly challenges too. I am so looking forward to playing along.
Anyway as always thanks for popping in and any comments that you leave and till next time happy scrapping.

Blog giveaway and an award too.

If you would like to be in the running for a nice stash of Cosmo Cricket check out this blog I have just stumbled across.

And while I'm here again I'll post a blog award I got a while back and keep on forgetting to post and pass it on.

Annie passed on this award to me.

This is called The Proximity Award."These blogs invest and believe in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

So for my eight.

All people that I have gotten to know through the love of this craft we all share.

Photo share and some cards too.

Here are a few pics from my busy week.
My L.O.V.E girl. All ready for her dancing concert dress rehersal on monday night.

The dress rehersal that ended up being followed by a third concert as the two planned for Thursday and Friday nights both sold out in three hours.

My sweet 8 year old on her birthday

and at her birthday party in the park on Sunday after she had her hair cut on Saturday. 3 inches gone.

And some scrapping projects too.

Asher's b'day card

and a thanks card for a friend who left work last week after 10 years.

both cards done for the Hero Arts blog sketch chellenges.

And a christmas countdown page done for Therpay member Vicki using the steps to a layout by fellow dter Mandy.

I had this all finished at my crop day the weekend before when I looked at the photo and realized I had dropped something right smack bang in the middle of the photo so I had to re print it. The layout has a magnet strip on the back so that it can be mounted on the fridge and the countdown days are 3d with magnets strips so the little birdie can fly over the days so to speak till Santa comes.

Well that is all from me for now.

Wishing all those out there that pop in a safe and happy christmas and new year.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and till next time happy scrapping.

Lots of things to share

Well I have had a busy few days and it is ony going to get busier out here in the next few days with Asher having 3 dancing concerts, her b'day,b'day party as well as some last minute christmas shopping and our photo with Santa too. Hopefully all will go smoothly and I am lucky I am on holidays too.
On Wednesday I helped out at the school with Asher's end of year excurssion to a wild life park.
Have yet to have a good look at the pics but here is one.
Note to self next time I want to get some good pics of Missy at a school outing get her to waer a different hat. lol nearly all the pics I have you can't see her face.
I also ran a small card class with her clas on Friday too. The kids all seemed to have fun and Asher was wrapped that I was teaching them.
I also took the camera with me to swimming lessons on Saturday morning and managed to snap this great photo which I have already scrapped on a page I did up for the Color combos galore challenge blog.
I have also had some fun doing this months 123 Challenge.
And here is my take on this months Aussie scrapjack challenge. I ended up jacking this layout by fellow dter Leeann. I had thought about playing around with my leftover chippie letters before and decided to give it a go when I seen it done. This is my scrap diary for next year. In it I will try and keep track of all my projects and what has been used on them just incase I get lucky enough to have them published.
I love getting to take part in a few of the challenge blogs out there and am trying very hard to get to at least 2 a month and so far this month I've done four.
I had a great day today scrapping with some fellow Therapy members members at Christines place. Thanks girls I had a ball and can't wait for the next one. I managed to do four layouts( 2 above), a 6 by 6 calendar page and an ATC.
Here are some of the projects. I need to take pics of a few.
Calendar class pageand another page for Jane Jones As a part of the page swap we did for this months Inspiration challenge and a promo for Therapys man of the month Kaiser Craft which is on sale all this month. Now with all three pages scrapped I'll be posting them of to Jane where she will get to pick which one she wants and then let Lisa and Al fight over the other two. lol
I also managed to pop into one of my other favourite places for a chat and challenge and this is what I ended up making.
A card and a tagAnd a layout as wellWell I think that is about all for now. See you all next time and till then as always, thanks for popping in,any comments you leave and happy scrapping.

Christmas gift wrap challenge

Michele over at Purple onion challenged the dt girls to a gift wrapping challenge.
Here is what I created, times two for Asher's teachers at school. One of them is a scrapper and the other well I think she would like to start up so the bottle is filled with a mix of choccies and small embellies and bits of ribbon too.
Pop on over to the blog to see what the other girls created and if you are lucky enough to have any Purple onion stamps join in on the challenge and you may just win some Purple goodies.
Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Therapy share

Well we cyber cropped and announced the next man at Therapy this weekend so I can now share some projects I couldn't before.
Here is my cyber crop challenge page for this month.
My Inspiration page
and a page I did up for the Therapy blog challenge blog challenge for a challenge over at Dream girls.
As my inspiration challenge this month seeing as Kaiser Craft is this months man and Jane Jones is, one of the Kaiser Craft design team members, one my fav Aussie scrappers whose blog is one of my favs too. I asked her if she wanted to be part of a page swap. The two pages up there are what I have scrapped for her with another one to do and these two down there are what she has done for me. I just love them. Thanks ever so much for taking part Missy Jane.

Anyway it is late and I've got a very busy few days at work and next week to with Asher's dancing concert rehersals and actual concerts. Three of them as well as Asher's b'day and her friends b'day party.

Till next time Thanks for popping in and any comments, happy scrapping and see you all in Therapy.

One is out and cybercropping too

Secret that is. I'm so looking forward to working with a great team of girls. There is a new link section in my side bar.

And we are cybercropping over in Therapy. Check it all out here.
This is my page for the challenge I set to use lists or letters on your page along with dots and some stamping.

Asher's favorite books are a few she has with little letters in htem and seeing as one of them is a christmas one that gets put away each year with the tree she was all excited to get it out again just a little early this year so I could get the pics for this page.

I've been a scrapping but not much I can share just now. Will do one Sunday after the new man has been revealed.

Till then thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Purple onion blog giveaway

Check out the Purple onion blog for a new stamp give away.
2009 vintage calendar stamp
There are two new calendars. The smaller 2009 is a new style. I have been trying to mix it up each year. Then there is a perpetual calendar set for the individual months.

There are 15 different calendars which will allow you to set up a calendar for any month, any year. I decided to do a set with 31 days and then 30. This will make for easy stamping. You can then just stamp the correct month above and add the year. The only month that needs a little tweaking is February. You will need to wipe away the ink for days 30 & 29 (if not a leap year)Pepertual Calendar set

and if you would like a few ideas on what to do with them then check out the samples up in the shop.
