A new challenge, a goodbye, a welcome and some scrapping

The new challenge is up over at the shabby blog.

Is all about this
two part criteria:

including this quote in whole or part:
'Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly'

Here is my project.

I just knew what I was going to do when Mandy and I were talking about the challenge details.
How could I not scrap my online bestie. She is an awesome person and someone I am very lucky to call a friend.

The quote is on one of my favorite stamps.

And it is with this challenge that we say good bye to one of our Shabby girls and welcome to another.

Toni, I am so going to miss your gorgeous work on the shabby blog. Thanks for being a part of the team.

Corrine, I am looking forward to working along side you. Your work is beautiful.

I have had a very nice scrappy filled few days. I created a card and bookmark on Wednesday night when friends came over that I posted in the last post.

Thursday night I created my shabby project.

Friday night I made up a card

I have seen a few people around using their Coppics to colour on Kraft and thought I'd give it a try using my Doodled flower set stamps from Purple Onion.

Probably not the best colours to use but I only wanted a subtle tinge to the kraft.

Here are the colours I used.

Saturday I started work on my ASJ layout which I finished of today along with two layouts and a card.

Here is one of the layouts as I needed to get it up and posted here before I missed another challenge deadline.

I created this for the current challenge over at These are a few of my favourite things. The challenge is about your favourite challenge blog you all don't need two guesses on which one is my favourite. Let's get shabby of course. It would have to be seeing as it is our baby. Mandy and mine that is. lol

Well that is it from me for now. I'll share the rest of my creations when I can.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

Scrap Therapy cyber crop.

Was this weekend. It has been a while since I have found time to play along and I am so glad I did.

Hi card.

The fab new card guru, Helen posted a great sketch and this is my take on it.

Dream big.

My liberal take on Bec's sketch. Thanks heaps to you both I love my latest creations.

Canon sitting

My second layout with the purple Bo Bunny that Lou gave me in my Just scrapbooking dt pack. Took me a while to do that stamping after I found the stamp which was lost for about 10 minutes at my crop on Friday night but love the effect.

And just sharing an older layout of Missy that was scrapped a few years back with a photo of her sitting on the same canon taken in September 2004. Hence the sub title Take two.

A sweetie

I also found some time to play along with a few challenges that I haven't played with for a while.

It's time to party

Are you ready for some blog hopping fun???

Most of the Shabby girls, along with Michelle (our fabulous Sponsor Purple Onion) and Sharon (our fabulous guestie) this month have put together a rak each on their blogs that you could be lucky enough to win by random draw.

There's TWO RAKs to be won on LGS as well!!

That means there will be quite a few raks up for grabs.

Now just what do you need to do to be in the running for them??

Here are the details:

Over the weekend, the girls will be popping up a question relating to either the Shabby blog or one of the team members, along with a photo of their rak.

Post a comment on their blog to be in the running for that rak and then find the answer to their question (don't post the answer there!!) because you will need to gather all the answers from each blog and email them to Julie, lol that's me in one email by midnight TUES 13 July(Aust time-so check the clock at the top of our LGS blog if you are not sure)

Here is the rak I have up for grabs.

A selection of some of my Purple Onion cards, a butterfly that I happen to have a double of, some grunge board circles, a chippie alpha, some flower embellies, a bingo card, a doily, a book page, some K Co die cuts, 2 crocheted flowers and a sprinkling of buttons.

Its all in good fun!

And lots of chances to win a RAK!

Here is my question.

What was our 10th Challenge?

Now pop into the other blogs for the rest of your questions. All the Shabby girls are linked in the side bar of the Shabby blog and you will find a link to Michelle's and Sharon's blog in the challenge 13 post which is linked below.

(If a blog doesnt have a question up yet...keep checking back as it could be due to time zones)

Don't forget to join in for this month's

Challenge 13

because we want to see

And if you need to add to your stamp collection pop on over and check out what Michelle has in store over at Purple Onion.

Hope you have fun blog hopping!!!

ASJ reveal

Just popping in to share my layout for the latest ASJ challenge. I managed to combine all three fab jacks into my layout. Jodie's flowers, Melissa's grid and Amie's apple.

The 3 of us.

lol and yes my layout is crooked. I can't stamp straight to save myself.

I used a Purple Onion stitches stamp to make up my grid pattern.

Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

I've inspired

Jill, a fellow Purple Onion design team member.

Pop on over to her blog and check out her work.

Thanks Jill. This has made my day.
