Therapy news

Well I have a little to share tonight with moreanother little share when my STM layout goes up on the blog. I have got some Purple projects that I finished today but I can't share just now. Will have to wait till they are up on the blog. Although when I post out my Therapy secret santa pressent tomorrow some one will get a sneek peek at one of my projects. lol
Over in Therapy this weekend we had our monthly Look what we can do with product showcase and this month we all worked with altering an American Craft album. Here is my album all ready for the reicpe cards for the swap I joined in on.

Therapy's cybercrop is on next weekend and the girls and I have got some fun planned for you all. Be sure to check out the forum as clues will be going up tomorrow and you can count on Cate to start her singing countdown too. On Sunday we will be announcing the winners of Novembers challenges as well as the new man of the month. I think you are going to love next months man and there is a surprise for you all too.
I pulled out some of Asher's Christmas toys a few days early to get a head start on making up my christams cards as I like to scrap them with a photo so here are a few of my favs. I took over 150 photos. Yeap crazy. I ended up culling them to about 30 and will probally cull again later too.

The bears in the photo are from America. When my sister was living out there she sent them over one Christmas and they have been treasured ever since. Like her christmas books and other goodies they get packed away with the tree each year and thier unpacking is something that is eagerly awaited and gets talked about for weeks on end in the lead up the the 1st Dec.

I had fun setting up the backdrop. I covered our bed in one of our sheets and then pegged the other to the aircon that is above it on the wall. Here she is singing some christmas song.

and here she is looking at me over the top of her glasses. lol Yeap no matter how many times I asked her to look at me through her glasses this is what I got.

I am dreading the next few weeks. I have got so much on it isn't funny. I'm at mums for tea tomorrow where I 'll be on the phone to my sisters and SIL sorting out what everyone will bring along to a family get together on Sunday for all of the nices and newphews who have b'days in the space of three weeks. Asher included. Saturday night dh and I are of out to dinner for my work do that if after I have taken dd swimming, dh has gone down to get concert tickets for Asher's dancing concert and I do a little shopping. Asher was goingto have a sleep over at Mums that night until I found out she had a 9.00 am dress rehersal for the concert Sunday morning. Full dress reshersal Monday night, small one on Tuesday, Asher's b'day on Wednesday, concert Thurday night and friday, cooking on Saturday and Asher's friends b'day party on Sunday. I'm so glad I'm on holidays that week as it would be crazy if I wasn't. I'm going to need to go back to work to relax. lol

Anyway till next time. Tomorrow, thanks ffor popping in and any comments, happy scrapping and see you all in Therapy.

5 o'clock world

By the Vouges. Is this weeks song for Scrapping the music. It is an older song and I didn't realise it is the theme song to the Drew Carey show till someone mentioned it in the coments over at STM. I ended up picking out a section of the lyrics for my title and included another part of it in my journaling.

Hope you can play along with us this week.

Till next time thanks for popping in, any coments and happy scrapping.

Card share

I've been scrapping some cards this weekend and thought I'd share some.
Here is one that I did inspired by Mandy's step post this weekend over in Therapy. I managed to do something that I have been wanting to do with one of my Purple onion Purple onion note blocks for a while now. Chop it.And a card for my BIL's birthdayI used some of my American Crafts stash which is on sale at 20% of in Therapy at the moment on both of these cards.

I also got me some new Pink Paisley papers and christened some more of my new Purple onion stamps. The Antique ledger section which is on this page in the shop, the scalloped circle which is here and my favorite flower set the doodled flower set which is here.

I also managed to do this weeks challenge over at Hero Arts to use up stamped scraps to make a card. I don't usually have anyas I try and stamp up what I need but I had one of the scalloped circles over from the party invites and added it to a Hero Arts cupcake stamp and made this.

I've also been playing around with adding a watermark siggie to my project photos. I am still trying to get the hang of it though.

Well not much else exciting happening out here.

I have a few secrets at the moment, one that I'll be able to share about the 5th and the other I am not too sure yet. I have the girls over at Therapy calling me a tease as I won't spill anything yet.lol

Till next time, tomorrow with a page for STM, thanks for popping in and any comments you may leave and happy scrapping.

Thanks giving challenge

Michele over at Purple onion challenged us girls to come up with some projects for the American Thanks giving holiday in a few days. Seeing as it is not one out here as such I made up a few thankyou cards using the Thank you note block. All the projects are up on the blog and there are some great creations. I just love the note block stamps I have in my collection here and will be adding some more to it soon.
Here is a sneek peek at a project I have done for this months dt samples.Just a sneek peek for now as Michele hasn't got them up on the blog yet. When I have been working with the note blocks a few times I have tried to cut them up but I always tend to end up leaving them whole. I am still going to try though.
Anyway till next time thanks for popping in, any comments you may leave and happy scrapping.

Therapy work share

I did some pages for a couple of challenges over at Therapy durring the week and can share now that I have taken photos of them.
Here is my take on Relsi's monthly challenge.
The photos are some of the last we have of Reenie our cat. We had a big unwelcome visitor about a month ago, a dugite snake, and we haven't seen her since.
And my take on Relsi's calendar class.I had some fun doing this but it was a bit tricky trying to change Relsi's instructions for the 8 1/2 by 11 down to a 6 by 6 but I managed it in the end.
If you would like to grab some new scrummy papers then I would pop on over to the What's new section at Therapy. I am sure you will be grabbing a few sheets if there is any left that is. lol
Till next time, which will be in a few minutes lol thanks for popping in and any comments you leave, happy scrapping and see you all in Therapy.

Just a girl

by No doubt is the latest song for Scrapping the music and here is my page.

I pulled some of the words to use as my ispiration "Can I hole your hand?"

I had fun putting this page together and Jordie over at my LSS Just scrapping loved it for a class so I will be teaching it in the new year sometime.

Till next time thanks for popping in and any comments and happy scrapping.

Sunday catch up.

Well things have been a bit busy out here scrappy wise with only one thing I can share just now but will do when I can.
Here is my man of the month ATC.He will be on his way over to Therapy member Trish tomorrow. Don't he look great scrapped in the American Craft purple paper.
Start looking out for a suitable man for Dec girls and if I choose yours you will have an atc made up too. All the details can be found in forum. It started a few months back after when trying to guess Therapy's new man of the month (of the paper variety) she posted a male kind and I scrapped him.
I held last nights blind scrap and as per usual I had the girls confused and at one time I was cyber ducking for cover. lol All the details are up in the forum. There is a no chat post but if you have a spare 30 mins or so sit down with a coffee and I am sure if you need a laugh you will find one reading the chat thread. All twenty odd pages of it. I can't share the page yet but will pop in and share it on Wednesday when the gallery goes up.
Today I went over to Christines place and had a scrap day with some of the other Therapy members. I had a ball and managed to do two pages and a tag. My calendar page (no pic yet) and a page for STM.
I have a layout out in the latest Scrapbook Creations magazine. 10 Days in the top 10 shabby chic pages article. I had fun scrapnapping my friends little girl.
I've also had a few emails asking me to be a part of a few thing but I can't share as yet just what.
Well I think that is all from me for now.
I'll be back tomorrow to share my page for the next STM song.
Till then thanks for popping in, any comments and till next time happy scrapping.

Purple onion cards

Michele has posted the last of my projects for the dt submission so here they are.
On this card I used the Doodled flower set which you will find on this page up in the store.
And on this one I used the Vintage postmark set which you will find on this page in the store as well as the doodled flowers.
I so can't wait to share the what I have done with the stamps I got to play with this month.
Till next time happy stamping.

My day has finally arrived

On Hero Arts that is. It seems like ages ago that I was picked by Shari Carroll as one of the lucky five winners of a day on the blog competition.
You can see my creations on the blog with Shari's too. I had a blast working on the projects and wish to send out a big thank you to both Hero Arts and Shari too.
Here they are if you haven't been over and checked them out over on the blog after I pretty much shouted it out to all that would listen or read in this case lol
The ribbons on Asher's Halloween treat bag didn't last the journey but I have some great pics of her with it so the bag will be scrapped.
A thank you card
and a layout.
THERAPY HAPPENINGS
We cybercropped this weekend and if you are lucky enough not to be working tomorrow you can still try and squeeze in a challenge.
Here is my page I did for the sketch challenge. The pics are of Therapy member Jenny's grandson. Her prize for being last months challenge champion.
I alos got to do up a sample page for our new man ofthe month. The paper kind not the male one.lol
Here is my page.If you are a lover of American Crafts then I am sure you will be heading of to check out what's in store as it is 20% all month. Yeap even thickers and the new in albums.
I also can now share my inspiration challenge sample as it went live tonight with all the other monthly challenges. The inspiration for my page was an old Alice in Wonderland paintbox tin. Yummy bright and funky colours so suited to the new American Craft papers and of course the mad hatter fits in with this months theme too.
Class news
I taught my second face to face class today over at Just scrapping and I enjoyed it. I was at first very worried about taking up face to face teaching but now love it.
This is the page I taughtalong with two cards. I think I drove the girls crazy with all the cutting out and the doodled border and journal box scared them. lol They all were not doodlers and opted to leave it off.
PURPLE ONION NEWS
I worked on my samples for my first month of dt duty this weekend and posted them of to Michelle this afternoon. I'll pop them up here when I can and I may even pop in a sneek peek if I am alllowed.
Well I think that is it from me for now. I'm of to bed.
As always thanks for popping in and any comments you may leave and happy scrapping.

Purple onion layout share

Michele is slowing going through the process of sharing the projects that were submitted for the dt call and she put up my layout durring the week and I can share it here now.

This is a pic of my cheeky monkey taken at her sports day a few months back. I have used the Artistamp letters in the title and the Vintage postmark date set which is going to be one of my favorite ones. The wavy post mark is just the right size for a small amount of jounraling.

Don't forget if you feel like joining in on a cybercrop pop in and play along with us over at Therapy this weekend.

Till next time thanks for popping in and happy scrapping.

Scrapping the music and a blog award too

The song this week over at STM is one I've not heard before, Click click click click by Bishop Allen. Here is my take on the song.

Not the layout I wanted to do as I couldn't get the pics of a little digi camera that my FIL gave Asher a while ago. She was click happy taking pics on the way to trick or treating and I was going to use those good and bad. I ended up going with my second choice some of the 160 odd pics Craig took last year at the Red Bull Air races. He was very click happy.lol

And now for the award.

The very talented and my fellow Purple onion girl Jen has passed on the Artey pico award to me.

Click on the link to Artey pico to find out the origins and meaning of the award.

For those who received an award from me, please follow these rules...
1. If you are an award winner, show the award, the name of the person who gave it to you, and link back to his or her blog.
2. Pick 5 blogs you think deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and for contributing to the blogging community.
4. Leave a message on the blogs of those you've selected.
5. Link back to the original Artey Pico blog so all will know the origin of the award.

And now for my awesome blog pics.

Jane

Michelle

Mandy

Christiane

Kristine

Each in their own way a tallented scrapper and an inspiration to me.

Till next time thanks for popping in and any comments and happy scrapping.

Halloween photos.

I forgot to share some pics of Asher from Friday when we went over to Christine's and Josie took her and Sam trick or treating or as Asher was saying Chicken treating.lol
One I took out back before we left
and one of the three girls at Christine's place.
I was so glad I took a photo of the treat bag I made up for her before we left home as the handles on it broke halfway round. Will share a photo of it when I can as I made it up as part of a project I needed to put together. I went over to Christines with two treat bags. One that Asher took around and one I had full of treats Asher is allowed to have and when they got back we did a swap. She handed over most of what she had as it had yukky numbers in them, as Asher likes to call all the artifical stuff we are cutting out of her diet, and she got to go lucky dipping in my bag.
Thanks again for popping in.

Cyber cropping next weekend.

over at Therapy.
There are some great challenges planned, Mum usually has a surprise challenge of some sort up her sleeve and a few games as well. I post up a link to the clue thread and the weekend over view when they get posted on the forum.
Not too much I can share today as most of what I have done durring the week is for upcomng projects.
Here is a page I did for Relsi blind scrap on Wednesday night. Christine and Jane can vouch for me when I say it was really doing my head in lol.It is a page for my girlfriend Amanda of her little girl Teaghan.
If you guys are able to get your hands on an October/November Paper Trends magazine go and check out my first US published project on page 108. I'm not surposed to share it up here for a little while yet.
As for my little guessing gameWell keep the guesses coming girls no one has guessed yet and as there are a few people with close guesses I can't even give it to the closest. Just comment on this post. If by next Sunday and if it still hasn't gone I'll rak it to the first closest guess.
Well as always thanks for popping in and any comments that you leave. Happy scraping and hope to see you all in Therapy, playing along with Scraping the music and hopefully playing with Purple onion stamps.
