An award and a layout

I was doing some blog surfing today and noticed that my fellow shabby partner in crime had passed on this award to me. Thanks Missy Mandy.

And I also managed to finish of the layout that I had on my kitchen bench half done last night.

I was lucky enough to receive two blog awards latey so here they are.

I got this one from Missy J2 one of mt feloow STM dters. It is her little girl in the Wet Missy B layout I did for Lime Tart.

I have had a fun morning today sorting out some of my layouts into albums. Not! Had to reshuffle some pages and I had pizza boxes, albums, page protectors, layouts all over the kitchen table and the floor. Asher's school album is update and I now have our family album(7 0f them) up to Dec 06 in albums with 7 more pizza boxes of pages waiting to go into albums. That is not including my BOM pizza box, Asher's swimming and dancing pizza boxes, my wedding pizza box, a friends pizza box. lol I need to get me some more albums and work out just where I am going to keep them all.

Blog award and another funny story.

I had a nice surprise when I came home from dinner with friends tonight. After I got out of my wet clothes that is. My friends and I decided to go and have a coffee and donut after dinner at a coffee shop about 10 mins walk away. We ended up pilling into two cars and driving over instead. When we got to the coffee shop the two drivers changed their mind about staying for coffee and headed of home. Little did we know that while we were having our coffee it started to rain. One of out friends was getting picked up outside the coffee shop and she offered to drive us to where our cars were but seeing as the car only sat five we all wouldn't fit so we opted for a walk a fast one at that back to the cars. So there we were all giggling and getting soaked walking through the middle of Fremantle. I had a ball in theend. Now that is two night in a row that one of us Dudley girls has ended up looking like a drowned rat.

My surprise was a blog award from Heidi. Thanks ever so much.

After my mix up a few weeks back I think I am back on track.

Missy's collection of Pollies has grown, again to fill two under the bed roller boxes and she loves them. Last year when they had the big recall of them she lost half of her stash.

Missy with the easter treat bags I made up for her teachers.

I had fun making up the baggies and Asher had just as much fun giving them out.

Week 16

Missy and her egg stash.After seeing Missy Mandy's gorgeous easter photo on her blog I rounded up Asher and her eggs and headed out side. lol The ones I took at 6.30 when she was hunting weren't that great.

52 Weeks

What was I thinking. LOL Well at this stage all I wil say is that when it is finished I don't think I'll be doing another and I'll def not do the 365 day challenge. The novelty has worn of. I had gotten a bit behind with scrapping my pages (about 2 weeks) so did a big catch up today and when I was checking the calendar I realised I have scrapped photos that were taken in the same week. My flounder and sun set fishing page I shared a few posts back were taken on the Sunday and Wedesday of the same week and the photo I scrapped today for what I thought was the week after is for the Saturday.

So here are two more pages. A 3rd for week 12.None for week 13.

And one for week 14.I took some photos of Asher's Polly pocket tea party on her bedroom window sill yesterday for last weeks photo and now to try and remember to take a new photo for this week.

I'm sure that this won't be the first time I mess it up but oh we ll it is done now.

Hero Arts

I finally found some time to play along with the latest challenge and here is what I have made.Yeap some more Easter baggies.

The challenge was a one layer challenge seeing as it was their blogs one year b'day last week. Now this was a challenge indeed for me as I was very tempted to add more pp, cardstock or a cut out stamped image and found it really had to stop myself. In the end I cut the butterflies wings slightly to give them more of a 3d look. I have made another easter baggie but will share that a little later once it goes up on the Purple onion blog along with a link to the place I got the idea from.

Home news

Missy A had her first school disco for the year on Friday night and with my work days changing I didn't get to take her, that was Craig's job. Her clothes were all set out for her and all he needed to do was feed her, get her to get changed, take some photos and walk her down to the school. Well he fed her, after she had gotten changed and probablly went to the disco with chicken pasta sauce all over her black dress and the photos he took well lets just say I'll never leave him in charge of the camera if I want decent scrapable photos.

One of my Hero Arts group girls Paula who I was lucky enough to meet last year passed this award onto me.

52 Weeks, a blog award and a few cards

I've seen a lot of people starting to do the 365 photo a day album. I love the idea but so don't think I'd be able to commit to something that big so have decided to go with a 52 week one instead and take photo on one day each week.

I have just finished the cover for it. Will take a photo and share sometime tomorrow.I decided to start this halfway through the first week of Jan forgetting totally to take a photo for it so seeing as the only photo I took was of my One little word "Start" layout I will start with a photo of my layout.

Today we went out to Bunnings to join in on one of thier free kids workshops and Asher had a ball making a mosaic pot and then had to get a plant to go into it. We ended up getting a Cactus,which she has nicked named Tom and has several times now called a capsicum. lol

After that we headed out to do our food shop and before we started we checked out the toys as she had six dollars she wanted to spend. Lucky for us she found some saddle club stuffed horses she wanted and they were on special for two dollars so she was over the moon to be able to get all three. I told Asher how I wanted to take a photo of either, the pot, the cactus or her ponies and she said all three so we did.

Here is the photo shoot set up which she staged herself. Yeap one of the ponies just had to go in the pot as we haven't potted Tom yet as I forgot to get some potting mix to do it with.I was lucky enough to be given another blog award durring the week by one of my fellow Westie scrappers Janine. Thanks heaps Janine.

Scrapping the music and a blog award too

The song this week over at STM is one I've not heard before, Click click click click by Bishop Allen. Here is my take on the song.

Not the layout I wanted to do as I couldn't get the pics of a little digi camera that my FIL gave Asher a while ago. She was click happy taking pics on the way to trick or treating and I was going to use those good and bad. I ended up going with my second choice some of the 160 odd pics Craig took last year at the Red Bull Air races. He was very click happy.lol

Blind scrapping a blog award and other stuff

Therapy happenings

I was the lucky one that got to running the DT blind scrap on Wednesday night and this is the layout I based my instructions on.

It was a pretty busy night here for me with Jane and Christine over scrapping, DH not feeling all that great with a migrane, DD wanting me, me trying to talk to the girls both at home and on the computer and Jane wanting a coffee all at the same time I got a bit flustered at one point and missed out one of the steps. lol lucky for me the girls picked it up pretty quickly and I gave them all a few laughs.

Cybercropping in cyber space.

Yeap it is that time of the month again when we all put on our comfy pjs and plan take away for tea. Clues will be going up from tomorrow in here. We have got some super challenges planned for you all.

To make things even more fun we will be having a Super Sunday. The new Man of the month and monthly challenges will all be announced. I am sure that you will love the Man of the month. I know I do.

Other stuff

Well the winners of the Slice of life comp over at the scrapbook shelf were announced on Friday night. Congrats to Ree, Lee anne and Sandy. Great work girls. I came away with an honourable mention and a voucher to the shop.

This weeks challenge over at the Hero Arts blog wasto make mini albums. Lisa popped up a few videos on making several albums and I made up this from one of them.

All made with one sheet of 12 by 12 paper. Drove me crazy as the folds were not quite meetingup rightb ut I managed to work around it in the end.

One of the girls I have gotten to know well over in the Hero Arts flicker group Gigi has given me this blog award. Thanks honey. Pop on over and check out her blog at Society of stamper and scrapaholics. She has such a way with words and always manages to make me laugh.
