Last page for 2008

Is a page I did for this weeks Hero Arts blog challenge . I scraped some of the photos taken at home on Christmas morning and I just had to include the bottum up in the air ones.
I also joined in on a just for fun challenge over at one of the places I pop into to make up some lollypop flowers. I love how this turned out and will be making some more. If you would like to see how they were made then check out this youtube video.
This layout is one of my favorites for 2008 and I will post the rest in the new new as one of my favs is one I have done for January's Aussie Scrapjack which I can't share just now.
Hope you all have a safe and happy new years eve whatever you are doing. We have a few friends over for a BBQ tonight and I am sure it will most probably end with all of us(8) at some point playing on the new wii or as Missy calls it the Will.
Anyway as always thanks for stopping by, any comments and till next time happy scrapping

Christmas pics and cybercropping too

Hoping you all had a nice christmas. We had a busy but nice one here.
Asher woke at 6 and we did stockings, Hers, mine and then Craigs and next we headed into the lounge where she played Santa by pulling out all the pressies. I just had to take this pic. lol
We then had friends come round for breakfast where there were a few more pressies and parents in laws popped in too. From there it was up to brother in laws for lunch and more pressies and then on my parents for tea and more pressies. Missy got totally spoilt all round and I have been madly trying to sort out/cull some of the old stuff to make room for the new.
Add to that the shuffling around of the lounge/family tv cabinets to accomadate the new big tv dh just had to buy as well and I have been a very busy girl. It is just as well I'm not back at work till Monday then.
We have been having a few quiet days at home just vegging as it has been hot but today we went up to see some friends for lunch and Asher had a blast. We had to pick the hottest day to go out didn't we.
Anyone up for a rak? Well you had better pop on over to Scrapping the music.
The dt have made up some cards, 30 to be exact, that you can win just by commenting this week as there is no new song. And next week there will be the naming of three new dters. I am so excited to be working alongside these three girls.
Who feels like Cybercropping?
I do and seeing as this month at Therapy the dt are on holidays some of our members will be running it and the monthly challenges too. I am so looking forward to playing along.
Anyway as always thanks for popping in and any comments that you leave and till next time happy scrapping.

Michelle has posted a few of the projects done by some of the dters on the Purple onion to inspire you to do up some of those last minute christmas tags and cards.
Here is a card from me

using the new small pine tree stamp shown on this page in the store.

I so love the other ideas that the dt girls have come up with.

Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Blog giveaway and an award too.

If you would like to be in the running for a nice stash of Cosmo Cricket check out this blog I have just stumbled across.

And while I'm here again I'll post a blog award I got a while back and keep on forgetting to post and pass it on.

Annie passed on this award to me.

This is called The Proximity Award."These blogs invest and believe in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers, who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

So for my eight.

Christine

Debbie

Michelle

Jen

Tanya

Lou

Mandy

Julie

All people that I have gotten to know through the love of this craft we all share.

Photo share and some cards too.

Here are a few pics from my busy week.
My L.O.V.E girl. All ready for her dancing concert dress rehersal on monday night.

The dress rehersal that ended up being followed by a third concert as the two planned for Thursday and Friday nights both sold out in three hours.

My sweet 8 year old on her birthday

and at her birthday party in the park on Sunday after she had her hair cut on Saturday. 3 inches gone.

And some scrapping projects too.

Asher's b'day card

and a thanks card for a friend who left work last week after 10 years.

both cards done for the Hero Arts blog sketch chellenges.

And a christmas countdown page done for Therpay member Vicki using the steps to a layout by fellow dter Mandy.

I had this all finished at my crop day the weekend before when I looked at the photo and realized I had dropped something right smack bang in the middle of the photo so I had to re print it. The layout has a magnet strip on the back so that it can be mounted on the fridge and the countdown days are 3d with magnets strips so the little birdie can fly over the days so to speak till Santa comes.

Well that is all from me for now.

Wishing all those out there that pop in a safe and happy christmas and new year.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and till next time happy scrapping.

Lots of things to share

Well I have had a busy few days and it is ony going to get busier out here in the next few days with Asher having 3 dancing concerts, her b'day,b'day party as well as some last minute christmas shopping and our photo with Santa too. Hopefully all will go smoothly and I am lucky I am on holidays too.
On Wednesday I helped out at the school with Asher's end of year excurssion to a wild life park.
Have yet to have a good look at the pics but here is one.
Note to self next time I want to get some good pics of Missy at a school outing get her to waer a different hat. lol nearly all the pics I have you can't see her face.
I also ran a small card class with her clas on Friday too. The kids all seemed to have fun and Asher was wrapped that I was teaching them.
I also took the camera with me to swimming lessons on Saturday morning and managed to snap this great photo which I have already scrapped on a page I did up for the Color combos galore challenge blog.
I have also had some fun doing this months 123 Challenge.
And here is my take on this months Aussie scrapjack challenge. I ended up jacking this layout by fellow dter Leeann. I had thought about playing around with my leftover chippie letters before and decided to give it a go when I seen it done. This is my scrap diary for next year. In it I will try and keep track of all my projects and what has been used on them just incase I get lucky enough to have them published.
I love getting to take part in a few of the challenge blogs out there and am trying very hard to get to at least 2 a month and so far this month I've done four.
I had a great day today scrapping with some fellow Therapy members members at Christines place. Thanks girls I had a ball and can't wait for the next one. I managed to do four layouts( 2 above), a 6 by 6 calendar page and an ATC.
Here are some of the projects. I need to take pics of a few.
Calendar class pageand another page for Jane Jones As a part of the page swap we did for this months Inspiration challenge and a promo for Therapys man of the month Kaiser Craft which is on sale all this month. Now with all three pages scrapped I'll be posting them of to Jane where she will get to pick which one she wants and then let Lisa and Al fight over the other two. lol
I also managed to pop into one of my other favourite places for a chat and challenge and this is what I ended up making.
A card and a tagAnd a layout as wellWell I think that is about all for now. See you all next time and till then as always, thanks for popping in,any comments you leave and happy scrapping.

Christmas gift wrap challenge

Michele over at Purple onion challenged the dt girls to a gift wrapping challenge.
Here is what I created, times two for Asher's teachers at school. One of them is a scrapper and the other well I think she would like to start up so the bottle is filled with a mix of choccies and small embellies and bits of ribbon too.
Pop on over to the blog to see what the other girls created and if you are lucky enough to have any Purple onion stamps join in on the challenge and you may just win some Purple goodies.
Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Therapy share

Well we cyber cropped and announced the next man at Therapy this weekend so I can now share some projects I couldn't before.
Here is my cyber crop challenge page for this month.
My Inspiration page
and a page I did up for the Therapy blog challenge blog challenge for a challenge over at Dream girls.
As my inspiration challenge this month seeing as Kaiser Craft is this months man and Jane Jones is, one of the Kaiser Craft design team members, one my fav Aussie scrappers whose blog is one of my favs too. I asked her if she wanted to be part of a page swap. The two pages up there are what I have scrapped for her with another one to do and these two down there are what she has done for me. I just love them. Thanks ever so much for taking part Missy Jane.

Anyway it is late and I've got a very busy few days at work and next week to with Asher's dancing concert rehersals and actual concerts. Three of them as well as Asher's b'day and her friends b'day party.

Till next time Thanks for popping in and any comments, happy scrapping and see you all in Therapy.

One is out and cybercropping too

Secret that is. I'm so looking forward to working with a great team of girls. There is a new link section in my side bar.

And we are cybercropping over in Therapy. Check it all out here.
This is my page for the challenge I set to use lists or letters on your page along with dots and some stamping.

Asher's favorite books are a few she has with little letters in htem and seeing as one of them is a christmas one that gets put away each year with the tree she was all excited to get it out again just a little early this year so I could get the pics for this page.

I've been a scrapping but not much I can share just now. Will do one Sunday after the new man has been revealed.

Till then thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Purple onion blog giveaway

Check out the Purple onion blog for a new stamp give away.
2009 vintage calendar stamp
There are two new calendars. The smaller 2009 is a new style. I have been trying to mix it up each year. Then there is a perpetual calendar set for the individual months.

There are 15 different calendars which will allow you to set up a calendar for any month, any year. I decided to do a set with 31 days and then 30. This will make for easy stamping. You can then just stamp the correct month above and add the year. The only month that needs a little tweaking is February. You will need to wipe away the ink for days 30 & 29 (if not a leap year)Pepertual Calendar set

and if you would like a few ideas on what to do with them then check out the samples up in the shop.

Therapy news

Well I have a little to share tonight with moreanother little share when my STM layout goes up on the blog. I have got some Purple projects that I finished today but I can't share just now. Will have to wait till they are up on the blog. Although when I post out my Therapy secret santa pressent tomorrow some one will get a sneek peek at one of my projects. lol
Over in Therapy this weekend we had our monthly Look what we can do with product showcase and this month we all worked with altering an American Craft album. Here is my album all ready for the reicpe cards for the swap I joined in on.

Therapy's cybercrop is on next weekend and the girls and I have got some fun planned for you all. Be sure to check out the forum as clues will be going up tomorrow and you can count on Cate to start her singing countdown too. On Sunday we will be announcing the winners of Novembers challenges as well as the new man of the month. I think you are going to love next months man and there is a surprise for you all too.
I pulled out some of Asher's Christmas toys a few days early to get a head start on making up my christams cards as I like to scrap them with a photo so here are a few of my favs. I took over 150 photos. Yeap crazy. I ended up culling them to about 30 and will probally cull again later too.

The bears in the photo are from America. When my sister was living out there she sent them over one Christmas and they have been treasured ever since. Like her christmas books and other goodies they get packed away with the tree each year and thier unpacking is something that is eagerly awaited and gets talked about for weeks on end in the lead up the the 1st Dec.

I had fun setting up the backdrop. I covered our bed in one of our sheets and then pegged the other to the aircon that is above it on the wall. Here she is singing some christmas song.

and here she is looking at me over the top of her glasses. lol Yeap no matter how many times I asked her to look at me through her glasses this is what I got.

I am dreading the next few weeks. I have got so much on it isn't funny. I'm at mums for tea tomorrow where I 'll be on the phone to my sisters and SIL sorting out what everyone will bring along to a family get together on Sunday for all of the nices and newphews who have b'days in the space of three weeks. Asher included. Saturday night dh and I are of out to dinner for my work do that if after I have taken dd swimming, dh has gone down to get concert tickets for Asher's dancing concert and I do a little shopping. Asher was goingto have a sleep over at Mums that night until I found out she had a 9.00 am dress rehersal for the concert Sunday morning. Full dress reshersal Monday night, small one on Tuesday, Asher's b'day on Wednesday, concert Thurday night and friday, cooking on Saturday and Asher's friends b'day party on Sunday. I'm so glad I'm on holidays that week as it would be crazy if I wasn't. I'm going to need to go back to work to relax. lol

Anyway till next time. Tomorrow, thanks ffor popping in and any comments, happy scrapping and see you all in Therapy.

5 o'clock world

By the Vouges. Is this weeks song for Scrapping the music. It is an older song and I didn't realise it is the theme song to the Drew Carey show till someone mentioned it in the coments over at STM. I ended up picking out a section of the lyrics for my title and included another part of it in my journaling.

Hope you can play along with us this week.

Till next time thanks for popping in, any coments and happy scrapping.

Card share

I've been scrapping some cards this weekend and thought I'd share some.
Here is one that I did inspired by Mandy's step post this weekend over in Therapy. I managed to do something that I have been wanting to do with one of my Purple onion Purple onion note blocks for a while now. Chop it.And a card for my BIL's birthdayI used some of my American Crafts stash which is on sale at 20% of in Therapy at the moment on both of these cards.

I also got me some new Pink Paisley papers and christened some more of my new Purple onion stamps. The Antique ledger section which is on this page in the shop, the scalloped circle which is here and my favorite flower set the doodled flower set which is here.

I also managed to do this weeks challenge over at Hero Arts to use up stamped scraps to make a card. I don't usually have anyas I try and stamp up what I need but I had one of the scalloped circles over from the party invites and added it to a Hero Arts cupcake stamp and made this.

I've also been playing around with adding a watermark siggie to my project photos. I am still trying to get the hang of it though.

Well not much else exciting happening out here.

I have a few secrets at the moment, one that I'll be able to share about the 5th and the other I am not too sure yet. I have the girls over at Therapy calling me a tease as I won't spill anything yet.lol

Till next time, tomorrow with a page for STM, thanks for popping in and any comments you may leave and happy scrapping.

Thanks giving challenge

Michele over at Purple onion challenged us girls to come up with some projects for the American Thanks giving holiday in a few days. Seeing as it is not one out here as such I made up a few thankyou cards using the Thank you note block. All the projects are up on the blog and there are some great creations. I just love the note block stamps I have in my collection here and will be adding some more to it soon.
Here is a sneek peek at a project I have done for this months dt samples.Just a sneek peek for now as Michele hasn't got them up on the blog yet. When I have been working with the note blocks a few times I have tried to cut them up but I always tend to end up leaving them whole. I am still going to try though.
Anyway till next time thanks for popping in, any comments you may leave and happy scrapping.

Therapy work share

I did some pages for a couple of challenges over at Therapy durring the week and can share now that I have taken photos of them.
Here is my take on Relsi's monthly challenge.
The photos are some of the last we have of Reenie our cat. We had a big unwelcome visitor about a month ago, a dugite snake, and we haven't seen her since.
And my take on Relsi's calendar class.I had some fun doing this but it was a bit tricky trying to change Relsi's instructions for the 8 1/2 by 11 down to a 6 by 6 but I managed it in the end.
If you would like to grab some new scrummy papers then I would pop on over to the What's new section at Therapy. I am sure you will be grabbing a few sheets if there is any left that is. lol
Till next time, which will be in a few minutes lol thanks for popping in and any comments you leave, happy scrapping and see you all in Therapy.

Just a girl

by No doubt is the latest song for Scrapping the music and here is my page.

I pulled some of the words to use as my ispiration "Can I hole your hand?"

I had fun putting this page together and Jordie over at my LSS Just scrapping loved it for a class so I will be teaching it in the new year sometime.

Till next time thanks for popping in and any comments and happy scrapping.

Sunday catch up.

Well things have been a bit busy out here scrappy wise with only one thing I can share just now but will do when I can.
Here is my man of the month ATC.He will be on his way over to Therapy member Trish tomorrow. Don't he look great scrapped in the American Craft purple paper.
Start looking out for a suitable man for Dec girls and if I choose yours you will have an atc made up too. All the details can be found in forum. It started a few months back after when trying to guess Therapy's new man of the month (of the paper variety) she posted a male kind and I scrapped him.
I held last nights blind scrap and as per usual I had the girls confused and at one time I was cyber ducking for cover. lol All the details are up in the forum. There is a no chat post but if you have a spare 30 mins or so sit down with a coffee and I am sure if you need a laugh you will find one reading the chat thread. All twenty odd pages of it. I can't share the page yet but will pop in and share it on Wednesday when the gallery goes up.
Today I went over to Christines place and had a scrap day with some of the other Therapy members. I had a ball and managed to do two pages and a tag. My calendar page (no pic yet) and a page for STM.
I have a layout out in the latest Scrapbook Creations magazine. 10 Days in the top 10 shabby chic pages article. I had fun scrapnapping my friends little girl.
I've also had a few emails asking me to be a part of a few thing but I can't share as yet just what.
Well I think that is all from me for now.
I'll be back tomorrow to share my page for the next STM song.
Till then thanks for popping in, any comments and till next time happy scrapping.

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Blind scrapping.

Will be starting very soon. Pop on in and check it out.
Hope to see you all in Therapy.

Purple onion blog candy

Michelle has posted some creations on the Purple onion blog using the new date stamp set Date me. Pop on over and check them out and while you are there and make sure you leave a comment as there is a set up for grabs.

Purple onion cards

Michele has posted the last of my projects for the dt submission so here they are.
On this card I used the Doodled flower set which you will find on this page up in the store.
And on this one I used the Vintage postmark set which you will find on this page in the store as well as the doodled flowers.
I so can't wait to share the what I have done with the stamps I got to play with this month.
Till next time happy stamping.
