A challenge or two

While at my all day Saturday crop this weekend I managed to do up a few pages for some challenges.

Bloom and shine.

I did this one up for the challenge over at the 123 challenge blog. You needed to use the word bloom, orange and a handmade flower.
I also used some of my stash of Purple Onion stamps.
Doodle flower sentiment set
Doodle foliage set
Doodle frame set.
You can find them all here.

Here are the copic colours I used on my stamped flowers and leaves.

Flowers-YR25
Leaves-YG91,YG93,YG95

Perfect pair.

This one I have done for a challenge over at the Artistic challenge blog. You needed to use a photo of someone with a pet, shades of orange and brown and one tropical flower.

Home sweet home.

While at the crop Anne marie gave us all a challenge pack which included some K and Co papers. We had to use something from the pack and make a layout or card and had our names put in a hat for $15 of our bill.
Here are the copic colours I have used.

Birdhouse-W3,W5,W7
Flowers-B93,B95,B97
Leaves-YG91,YG93,YG95
Butterflies-B0000,B000,B00
Sky-B60

We have had a nice day here today. This morning Missy and I caught up with Christine for a while and she had fun playing with the two little foster boys she had for the weekend. We came home, had lunch, made a cake and then dh said he was going to take us out for a drive so we got into the car and ended up down near the river. We had a nice walk, an ice cream and Missy's highlight and play on the playground equipment.

Well that is it from me for now.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

A scrapy weekend

I have had a pretty quiet weekend this week.
Saturday we popped out for a bit to get lotto and some goodies from my LSS for my latest STM page.
Did you hear that big screaming noise yesterday morning?
It was probably Missy lol. Part of our lotto routine each Saturday is her checking the tickets in the machine and if we win lotto she is able to buy a magazine. She has been wanting one of the cat magazines that come with a soft toy that are out at the moment for ages. Well anyway usually the response is Sorry and my Missy is a little glum but not yesterday. It's a winner mum It's a winner. She was jumping up and down and yelling so much that everyone in the whole news agent was in fits of laughter. Pity it wasn't a big win. Just enough for her to get a magazine and pay for this weeks lotto.
Today Craig was out racing his remote control cars all day so Missy and I had a pj day. We did the washing, made some biscuits, did a little housework, played wii, watched Tinkerbell, had a tea party and some scrapping.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The challenge this month was to use material, lace, more than 6 buttons and hand stiching. I had fun with this one.
Don't forget to pop in and check out the details for the Blog party tomorrow night. lol I thought it was on last night and was wondering why the chat was very quiet until Zany pointed out that I was very early.

Pages in time

This weekend Lesley was running a mini crop and I managed to get two scraplifting challenges done.

The first one was to scrap lift yourself and I lifted my giving layout from a few posts back. This is my page for last week in my 52 weeks album. Missy nearly has the knack of tying her laces. The other scraplift challenge was to lift a layout/card/OTP project belonging to one of the dters. Luci does some gorgeous OTP projects and I lifted this page from a mini album that she posted and used it as a base for a card.I have popped this one into the die cut challenge on the Hero Arts blog. Not that I have many die cuts but they did have a few templates we could print out so I did that and stamped my favorite script stamp over it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lets get shabby

Pop on over and say hello to the girls. We have been introducing the team over the past few days in the lead up to the first challenge on the 25th. Don't forget to pop in and tell us what Shabby means to you to be in the running for a Shabby rak which we will draw on the 24th.

Well that is about all from me for now, till tomorrow that is when I can share my STM and Ad this pages. Till then thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Some pages and some news too

I've had a nice and relaxing first week of long service and have done not much of anything at all. A little housework, some food shoppping and some scrapping too.
My missy ended up coming home from school at lunch time today as she wasn't feeling well, felt hot but no temp and has been sleeping most of the arvo on the lounge. Hope she is feeling better for school tomorrow as I was going to be heading up to the craft fair with a friend and if not Craig is just going to have to have a day home on Saturday with her.
Here is what I have done.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This weeks challenge was to do a pale blue monocramatic layout including a hand made embellie, stitching and a non scrapping product with the theme of sloth and I so had to scrap this photo of our Reenie spread out sound asleep on Missy's bean bag. I used bubble wrap as my non scrap item and made up a flower with some lace and ribbon.
It just so happened that my new lot of Purple stamps came in yesterday so I used the Doodled frame set to make my cloud window and the title box and a triangle shaped stamp from the Ornamentals set to do my trees.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

123 Challenge

It has been a while since I have played along with a 123 chalenge and I had some fun with this one using up some older papers in my stash. We had to include a long mixed alpha title, a journal spot and three ribbons.

I used my favorite journal stamp from Purple Onion the Scallop circle and just added some lines to journal on.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just scrapping

I took home some of the new Wisteria papers the other day to put togther a card set class. Here is a sneek peek of what I came up with.A date is yet to be set but I'll update the side bar when it is.

And as for my news. Jordie has asked me to be a part of the design team there. I picked up my first pack today and can't wait to have a play with it and my new Hero Arts stamps.

Well that is it from me for now as always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Lots of things to share

Well I have had a busy few days and it is ony going to get busier out here in the next few days with Asher having 3 dancing concerts, her b'day,b'day party as well as some last minute christmas shopping and our photo with Santa too. Hopefully all will go smoothly and I am lucky I am on holidays too.
On Wednesday I helped out at the school with Asher's end of year excurssion to a wild life park.
Have yet to have a good look at the pics but here is one.
Note to self next time I want to get some good pics of Missy at a school outing get her to waer a different hat. lol nearly all the pics I have you can't see her face.
I also ran a small card class with her clas on Friday too. The kids all seemed to have fun and Asher was wrapped that I was teaching them.
I also took the camera with me to swimming lessons on Saturday morning and managed to snap this great photo which I have already scrapped on a page I did up for the Color combos galore challenge blog.
I have also had some fun doing this months 123 Challenge.
And here is my take on this months Aussie scrapjack challenge. I ended up jacking this layout by fellow dter Leeann. I had thought about playing around with my leftover chippie letters before and decided to give it a go when I seen it done. This is my scrap diary for next year. In it I will try and keep track of all my projects and what has been used on them just incase I get lucky enough to have them published.
I love getting to take part in a few of the challenge blogs out there and am trying very hard to get to at least 2 a month and so far this month I've done four.
I had a great day today scrapping with some fellow Therapy members members at Christines place. Thanks girls I had a ball and can't wait for the next one. I managed to do four layouts( 2 above), a 6 by 6 calendar page and an ATC.
Here are some of the projects. I need to take pics of a few.
Calendar class pageand another page for Jane Jones As a part of the page swap we did for this months Inspiration challenge and a promo for Therapys man of the month Kaiser Craft which is on sale all this month. Now with all three pages scrapped I'll be posting them of to Jane where she will get to pick which one she wants and then let Lisa and Al fight over the other two. lol
I also managed to pop into one of my other favourite places for a chat and challenge and this is what I ended up making.
A card and a tagAnd a layout as wellWell I think that is about all for now. See you all next time and till then as always, thanks for popping in,any comments you leave and happy scrapping.

Stuff to share

Wahoo can you all here me out there I'm on holidays for a week and am so looking forward to sleeping in and spending time with Asher and scrapping of course. lol
We went out to the beach for a while this arvo. Craig took Zumo for a race on the grass and Asher went down and played on the waters edge. Here are a few pics from Asher at play. I didn't get any of Zumo as Craig had put him away when we got back from the water.

I have been having fun scrapping over the last few days and I finally got around to doing a 123 Challenge. I have been meaning to get to one for a while now but just hadn't found the time.

Photos are of my sweet goggle girl at swimming a few weeks ago.

THERAPY NEWS

We have had another weekend of happenings with the girls snapping away for a photo challenge and also being inspired by the DT's monthly look what we can do with weekend. Here is one of my photos I took of Asher's new pony and her piano too. Lee anne send us all out a similar product and we all put our own take onto it. This month we all picked a Kaiser album and papers too work with and this is what I did with mine.

And you can see more and what the other girls did in here

I also scrapped a few more things with my Sass lass goodies.

A set of gift tags and a tag for Asher to take into daycare with some changes to her diet we are starting to do I did these with some papers from the wee bundles Lee anne sent us and has been sending out as prizes on the forum.

And this layout with scraps from the Woodland whimsy range. I think I ended up with a piece of all on it. I just kept on adding things left right and center.

I've also done two other layouts but can't share them just yet. You will have to wait till Friday and Sunday for them.lol

Why Friday and Sunday. Well we are cyber cropping this coming weekend. Challenges will go up on Friday so pop in and check out the clues for what you will need. I've scrapped my sample page, sorted out the guessing game and can't wait for all the fun to start. Roll on Friday.

And Sunday is our Super Sunday. When we will announce the new man of the month and share the new monthly challenges.

SCRAPPING THE MUSIC NEWS

This weeks song is Celebrate by Kool and the gang and seeing as I needed to make up a 21st card this is what I did along with a little autograph book for people to sign too.

Hope you can play along with us this week. I'll be back with some STM news durring the week.

Well I think that is all from me for now so till next time as always thanks for popping in, any comments, happy scrapping and see you all in Therapy
