52 Weeks
Week 33

Asher had a pirate dress up day at school on Friday. We had to do some creative dressing for this as we only found out about it the day before, her sword had long since been broken and I wasn't flying out to the shops as we only had about 30 mins to sort something out before heading out to dancing, and like last time they had pirate day at school her little bird went along too as all pirates have a parrot don't they.

Here she is on pirate day two years ago with her bestie at the time Shaleah who has since moved house and school.

I've not long taken the photo for this week already. Will share once I get it of the camera but it is sooo cute. Our cat Reenie has lain claim to Asher's been bag. It is a lime green in colour but I have since gotten Mum to make some brown covers for it so I can put them through the wash. Anyway Reenie was asleep on the bean bag and Missy had placed her big Rupert bear on top of her. Yeap Rupert was using Reenie as a chair. lol I tried to take some nice pics but had the heater and the wall in the background so got Missy to hold up our brown lounge throw rug behind the bean bag as a backdrop.

As always thanks for popping in,any commetns and happy scrapping.

Will see you all soon with my STM and Ad this pages.

Scrapping the music and Ad this.

The new song is up. I would stay and here is my page with a twist on part of the lyrics about learning to be myself. I don't do alot of me pages so changed it to suit a photo of Missy.
And here is the new Adand my page.I gave up on doing this at one stage as nothing was working for me. lol I even emailed Eliza to say I would skip this one but I decided it wasn't going to beat me and when I found a pink Prima vine and added it to my fav basic grey background it all just came together in the end.

Over on the Prima blog they have started a monthly Prima product pick They have chosen a range of the yummy goodies and the dt have showcased them on layouts and they have also invited Prima lovers to join in. Seeing as I got some of the new white trellis roses (bottom row third pic) in a parcel on Friday I thought I'd play along seeing as I used them on both my STM and Ad this layouts.

Well the sponour and guestie for next month over at the Shabby have been revealed. So pop on over and check them out. Make sure you pop in and see the guestie's work absoultely awesome.

Well til next time sometime tomorrow when I'll share with you all my next shabby creation thanks for popping, any comments and happy scrapping.

Some for pages for my 52 week album and some cyber cropping

A week or so ago I came across the Artistic Document forum and decided to join up and add another place I pop into for a chat and some cyber crop fun to my list. I was able to play along with two challenges.
I altered up this old Bazzil wings flower jar for Ann's OTP challenge.

Not what I had planned on doing but after I dropped and smashed the cute little MME Button jar on the floor I had to do a rethink on my pin cushion jar. Not too sure what I am going to pop in this jar yet but stay tuned as I noticed today that my stash of cards is overflowing again so I may just sort out a guessing game rak and post it up here.

I was able to work Kym's challenge around a page in my 52 week album.

Week 33

and last weeks page

Week 34

Yeap this week I went back to work after three month of on long service. Not that great a photo of me though but I didn't really have time to try and get a better one now that we are back into the getting ready for work/school routine here in the mornings.

The challenge 2 winner has been announced over on the Shabby blog. Yeah Deb your page is gorgeous, so can't wait for the new challenge to go up on the 25th.

Well that is it from me for now so as always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Just scrapping layout and a card too

Jordie so liked Nics flowers I have been making lately so she asked if I could try and work them into a class with some of the new October afternoon papers. Here is what I have come up with. Another holiday photo layout and a card too. I used this weeks sketch over at Card positioning systems.

I'm yet to show Jordie. Hope to do that this afternoon. Till tomorrow when I will share my STm and Ad this layout thanks for popping in and happy scrapping.

Purple onion share

Here are a few cards I did on retreat using some of my new Purple Onion stamps.
These two are done using one of the new stamp sets out What's the scoop. This one uses a Shabby definition stamp.
I had fun playing with some of the older Prima hydranga flowers on this. Rolled it up with a pin and a few pieces of curled wire in the middle.
On this one I used the Circle set 2 and the Stiches set which is on the same page along with some of Jodies gorgeous dolies.
Thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

I've been scrapping

I haven't played along in a cyber crop for a while and when a friend told me of two happening this weekend I thought why not. I only got to do one challenge for each site but I love what I have done. Pity one of them isn't mine to keep.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is my page for Tracey's challenge. You needed to use on your page some set items from two lists. I chose to use
R - Rubons -The bird and leaf sprays which I have water coloured
A - Alphas
I - Ink
N - Numbers-on the bingo card
B - Bling-flower center
O - Only 2 word title
W - Water Colour Paints- pencils on the flower, leaf sprays and bird.
They so look much better using water colour paper. Thanks for the tip Philippa and Rach.
I was a little sneeky with this and seeing as I was using a Hero Arts stamp decided to put it in for this weeks challenge too. This is the page I don't get to keep. It is another one for a friends sisters memory album.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mystical scrapbooks

This is my page for Sam's complimentry colour challenge. My little Missy at swimming lessons last term. For most of it she liked to pretend she was a dolphin and as some of the others in the class played along as well her teacher always had a giggle over it and towards the end of the lesson she would throw out fish for the dolphins to catch.

I played around with making some more flowers. These ones are so easy. You can find the tutorial here. I ended up leaving out the last two petal layers, squashed them a little and added the button centers. If any of you out there have got any flower tutorials you like can you please share as I am enjoying making my own these days.

Just scrapbooking

Before I went on retreat I got my LSS dt pack. I had planned on working with them while away but never got around to it. I have now though only can share one just now as I managed to work the other one into my AD this page for this week seeing as the colours of the papers matched the ad.

I got to play with some of the new Kaiser Craft papers. Now I really did struggle with this and by the end of it I had paper chopped up all over my kicthen bench but I got there in the end. So not my usual style but Gail, Asher's school assistant, whose photos I scrapped likes it and that it what counts I guess.

Will share the second page once it has gone up on the Ad this site.

Well that is all from me for now except that I have some sad news to share.

My long service is offically over. It is back of to work for me tomorrow. That was the quickest three months I've ever had.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Finally

some of my retreat pages. I have got some cards to share but as I have done them as part of this month Purple samples I will load them up once I get the ok from Michele.
I did this one for the ABC twist challenge I run over at Pages in time. We need to use a technique or product starting with B J O. Asher picked them out of her upwords and seeing as when she handed them to me she said look mum they spell job that was my twist to scrap about a job. I used buttons,Jenni Bowlin and and Oval. We were out gardening a while back and Asher picked up a stick and started to scrape the moss out from between the pavers saying that it was her new job out in the garden. I had a heap of fun on the weekend away playing around with making flowers.
This one is a double to go with a similar one I did for Scrapping the music seeing as the photos were taken at the same time.
Not too sure if I like it though.
I also made up a little tag.

I am planning on putting this on a retreat layout as at one time well all had to wear the Cute balls and there are photos of each of us wearing them.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blog candy.

Wow go on and check out this awesome blog give away. Lots and lots of yummies up for grabs.

Ad this, Scrapping the music and retreat photos.

I had a ball on my weekend away and managed to scrap 5 layouts, 4 cards and a tag. Here are a few photos. On Saturday night it was dress up night and Jane, Christine, Tamara and Sarah all dressed up as the Village people. For the weekend there was a banned word. Cute. Whenever you said the word you had to wear a headband till it was said by someone else. We all wore it at one stage at our table but Missy Jane (next to me in the photo) was the queen of cute. She must of wore the band at least 12 times.I have to take photos of them all yet but here is some of what I have done.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This weeks song is More beautiful you and I scrapped a photo of Missy Christines eldest daughter Josie backstage at her dancing concert last year.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ad this

The new ad is up and here is my twist on it.

I scrapped this for Rayette over at Pages in time as part of her win in last month ABC twist challenge.

Well that is it from me for now. I'll be back when I have taken pics of the rest of my projects.

Ad this and my news

The new Ad is up over at Ad this. and I had fun putting this one togther. Just some pics I took of Missy down at our local park and seeing as she had her arms out stretched I used my fav quote from the book guess how much I love you.
And for the news, well the blog has been featured in Scrap street magazine.
You will need to turn the page to see my layout.
Eliza is having a few blog issues at the moment so the challenge isn't up as yet hopefully it wont be too long as I can't rememeber what the twist was as it was a while since I did the layout.
Anyway as alwasy thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.
