My angel

is so excited about starting school for the year again tomorrow. So much so that she is still talking to herself in her bed as I type this at 1/4 to 10. Yeap she can be a little night owl when she wants to.

I had my all day crop on Saturday and managed to get two pages done. This one below and another one for the next ASJ challenge. They both took me about four hours to do. Yeap the queen of fiddle was yet again living up to her name. You will laugh when you see the ASJ page though as it dosen't look like it would of taken that long. Most of the time was in the deciding what to do, doing something, hating it and then having the change it. This happened about three times.

I also finished of some more projects with my latest Lime Tart kit, did a couple of cards for Purple Onion and started a dt layout for Just scrapbooking this weekend. Here is what I can share.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mystical

The girls set some great challenges this month but I just got to do the one this time. Donna's song lyric challenge.

Angel

I snapped these pics a few weeks back of Missy dressed as an angel for dress up day at day care and just had to use the Lyrics "Heaven must be missing an angel"

I also popped the last of the pages into my 52 week album from last year. I will take a photo of the chunky album and then either try and find some bigger jump rings or just have it held together by ribbons.

Well that;s it from me for now. Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating

Lets get shabby challenge 8

is up now.

The challenge is all about those heart-string tugging letters, child notes, vintage war loves
lost and won etc etc....these are just examples!!

Whatever you chose, your creation must contain a letter/s or note/s that you've
written or been written by you or others living or passed.

Now this one had me stumped for a bit and I had no idea what I was going to do as I haven't got any love notes myself, lol dh ain't that kind of guy and although Missy loves to draw I don't really have anything special she has done. It wasn't until I went to see my mum that I thought to ask her if she had anything herself so we went lookingthrough some of her photos and stuff and came across a picture booklet postcard type letter that my Grandfather sent to my Nan from Brisbane before he went of to fight in WW2. So I have used that on my layout called Beautiful Brisbane.

I so didn't want to stick the postcard down in any way as you wouldn't of been able to see it properly so played around with some string and it is tied in place and the cut out embellies on the right and under it are 3d and help to hold it in place.

I used a mix of Websters and K and Co papers, some Dusty Attic chipboard elements and Delish flowers all scrapped on a doily that I picked up at an op shop a while back.

Here are some detail pics of the postcard itself.

Make sure you pop on over and check out who our sponsor and what the prize is along with what the other girls have came up with and I can't wait too see what you all do.

Just a little share

for me today.

I had the girls over for our weekly scrap night on Wednesday and managed to do a page just for me.

One of the few pics I took of Missy on Xmas morning. lol next year we will have to leave a note for Santa asking him to clean Missy's glasses when he leaves the pressies. She is in the habbit of putting them on as soon as she gets up which is ok but we don't clean them until after breakie and doing her hair and well on xmas morning at six o'clock the pressies were more important.

It only took me about three hours all up not like the mammoth on and off all day effort yesterday for a project that is 6 by 81/2 inches. It is something I can't share as yet and you will all have to wait quite a few weeks to see it as it is for the 25th Feb challenge over at Let's get shabby. I will be able to share my creation for tomorrows challenge though.

Oh well I had better go. We have had friends pop in and they have decided to stay for a video. I managed to get five minutes so I could finish posting this and grab a shower.

Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and
happy creating

Just a note

To let our shabby players that the site is having a few loading issues at the moment. It has got something to do with the visitors counter in our side bar link. We could delete it but then that is something we really really want to avoid doing as we love seeing just how many people pop into our site. The site is loading but it has been taking longer to do so. Please bear with us as we try and sort out the issue. Click on the shabby link and then go of and grab a coffee or do something else for a few minutes or so. some scrapping and pics too

Well it has been a busy week and weekend out here.

Here's a little run down.

Working Monday and then of to a friends place to scrap for a few hours where I spent the whole time there living up to my name as the Queen of fiddle. Playing around with photos and papers for three hours and leaving with a layout sort of started.

Tuesday we had a visit from these two cheeky boys, their mum Justine with bubs on the way.

Just love them all to bits and am hoping to try and catch up more often this year. Living nearly an hour and a half way makes it a bit hard, add to that work and a 2.30 school pick doesn't help either.
The boys are real rough and tumble boys and Missy although had fun after about three hours of rough housing, her egging them on at times she had had enough.

Friday was spent out at the shops much to Missy's disgust, food shopping and then home getting ready for a crop at a lss where I spent another three hours on that layout from Monday night.

As it has been hot out here this weekend we haven't really done much at all. Popped out for a little bit on Saturday morning and have then vegged out at home for the rest of it trying to keep cool.

Today I just couldn't help but laugh at my crazy girl. Yeap here she is in her PJ's, we had a pj day today, sitting in the Reenie's basket. lol look at those legs she sure does take after her dad.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is some scrapping that I have done lately.

3 steps.

I forgot to share this one with you all last week. Photos are of Missy dressed up as a great white shark for Summer themed dress up day at school. Yes she was a shark as they hang around the beaches here in Summer and that week we had a few sightings and it was all in the news. She new exactly what she wanted to look like and just wearing a grey shirt wasn't good enough as great whites have white bellies. Lucky for her I had a white singlet stashed in the back of my drawer. She drew the fins and mask as well. I was just the put togetherer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Purple Onion

This is the layout that I was talking about before. Took me nearly 6 hours all up.

Attitude

Photos were taken on xmas morning where Missy was waiting out front for Santa to come round in the ute. We were all surprised when he called out "Merry xmas Asher" so we think he had some inside information.

I have used the Vinatge journaling label, the straight stitch from the Stitches set and the Harlequins

I have also done up this card for a friend at work.

Congrats

She got engaged recently and everyone at work put in some money to buy her a pressie. I tried to make a three fold card so that we all had room to write in it but I couldn't for the life of me get it to work so have added a fold out insert in the middle.

I used the Vintage Damask Background stamp along with a sentiment from the Hopscotch sentiment set.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mystical scrapbooks

Over at Mystical I have been part of a photo swap. I swapped photos with Nat and here is what she has scrapped for me. Thanks I love it.

Christmas photo shoot

and here is what I did for Nat. Minus it's title. I wasn't too sure what to use. I had a few ideas but couldn't decide so took the photo without it and have spoken to Nat and have decided on

Life back then

Also over at Mystical they are cybercropping. I managed to do two challenges.

This one for Christine's blind scrap.

Xmas kitty

and this one for Ellen's sketch.

New toy.

It is one of the last pages for my 52 week album from last year.

Here's that last one.

Last

lol Seeing as I started of the album with a photo of the first layout I scrapped in 09 I thought I'd end it with my last.

I am so glad that I managed to keep up with it last year. I must admit that towards the end the pages were pretty simple and done just to get them out of the way. lol not like 6 hours on one.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lime tart

Over at Lime Tart the recipe challenges have started back up again. You can check it out on the blog.

Here is what I have done

Happy birthday.

The challenge is to use red white and blue along with a star embelishment. lol I turned my scrappy stash inside out to find a star embellishment and I couldn't find anything so just imagine the button on the bow is not round and has five points on it.

Well I think that is about it from me for now. I am going to get myself and early night I think.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

Lime Tart gallery is up.

so pop on over and see what we all did with our scrummy kits.

Here is my favorite project from what I did and one each from the girls.

I got to work with the Full tart.

I did these two cards using some of the off cuts after I had finished my other projects. I used some stamped Stampvie images that I got in swaps with the girls along with some Rachelle Anne Miller sentiment stamps.

Rach and Teresa got to play with the A la tart kit.

I just love how the red pops on Rach's layout

I am loving the clustering on Teresa's.

Nic got to work with the Half tart and I so love all of this card she created.

Well that is all from me for now.

Till next time thanks for popping in and happy scrapping.

First project of 010 and a shabby rak.

I had a lazy day at home today. It was Craig's b'day and he pretty much wanted to veg at home so we did. Played a little band hero on the wii, watched a movie, scrapped a bit and slept before going out for tea and a yummy ice cream in Fremantle.

Here is my first share able project for 010. lol I did do up an altered note book last night but as it is for the Lime Tart kit reveal I can't share just yet.

Jazz ATC

I was doing a bit of a blog hop last night and I popped into Rhonda Palazzari's blog, one of my fellow Purple Onion dters and she is starting up a weekly ATC challenge that I thought I might play along with sometimes.
This is what I created for the first challenge - Old is new again. I used some bits and pieces from one of my vintage kits I had laying on my bench.
It is a bag tag for my daughters dancing bag. I have done one for each year of dancing, or in this case each item she danced in her concert, as she did two this year. I will end up laminating it so it is a bit protected and it was so hard not to make it too lumpy bumpy. I may add a few more little things to it once it is laminated but nothing big. Once I have it all sorted and on the jump ring I'll take a photo of them all together.
I have used some Purple Onion stamps. The Lizziebelle alpha and a stamp from the Ornamental set.

Shabby Rak

One of my fellow Shabby sisters Toni, has put together this stunning collection of goodies that is up for grabs on the Shabby blog.

So make sure you pop on over and play along. While you are there don't forget to check out our latest challenge.
Anyway that is it from me for tonight. I am back at work tomorrow and need my beauty sleep.
As always thanks for popping in, any comments and till next time happy creating.

Xmas and new year wrap up and my favs of 2009

Oh dear I am such a naughty blogger. I have just realized that I haven't updated my blog for a little while. Oops lol I think I have made up for that in this post. So you may want to grab a coffee.

Ok here goes.
Xmas Missy was up at 6.00 and all excited about the pressies under the tree and in her stocking.
Here is one of the few I snapped. She wasn't sitting still long enough for me to get many.lol
Her favorite pressie from Santa is her Bop it. Just loves it.We had breakie here with friends Jane and Jim and Santa came round on the back of a ute to deliver some lollies out front. Here is Missy waiting for him. Not very patiently mind you.We were all surprised when he called out Merry Xmas Asher as he tossed the lollies out from the back of the ute. We think Santa had words with Uncle Gareth. lol After our friends left we headed up to my parents place where we caught up with my sisters. Missed my brother and the five kids this year as SIL refuses to spend xmas lunch with anyone but her family.
After that we came home for a bit then headed out again, down to Mandurah to spend dinner with Craig's side. Home late and we all crashed.
The next few days we did not that much at all. I took Missy out to the movies to see the chipmonk squeakel with a friend, we went and seen Avatar with friends the next night.
New years was a quite one. Friends over for dinner and videos. We we so engrossed in the video that we didn't even know that new years had passed.

As for scrapping well I have done a bit, mostly working with my next Lime tart dt kit. Boy it is yummy. Want to see just what I have been playing with then pop on over and check it out on the blog. I've been having fun for sure.
Here is a little of what I can share.
52 Weeks.
Well no more pages scrapped yet. Have the pics printed though.
A birthday pic
A Christmas pic
and a pic of this layout.I created it for a challenge over at Artistic and seeing as I started my 52 week album with a pic of my first layout of the year I thought it would be good to finish it with my last.
I am so glad that I kept it up. I so didn't think I would. I will have to take a pic of my chunky album.
I also played along with two challenges at Mystical and created this layout for my friends sisters albumand this one for our family album.I also managed to finish of my last dt layout for the year over at Just scrapbooking using one of the pics from Missy's birthday photo shoot.

Here is my favorite class layout and my favorite dt layout.Let's get shabby
Would have to be one of my best ever scrapping accomplishments this year. After a chat with my friend Mandy where she said she was going to try and find a shabby challenge blog I mentioned to her that I didn't think there was one and that she should start one. Well that was just the push that she needed and Lets get shabby was born.
Here is my first project created for our challenge blog.and here are a few just because layouts.

Well if you all have made it this far you have done well.
Till next time as always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.
