Blog awards

from my gorgeous scrappy pal Peggy. I have just come from her blog and seen her latest page It is just stunning. If you are a fan of the childrens book Guess how much I love you then pop on over and check it out. Thanks heaps for the awards and the kind words too my friend.
The rules of the Lemonade Stand award:Comment on this blog. Cut and paste the award logo and use it in your own blog. Nominate 5 blogs you feel show great attitude and gratitude.
Link to your nominees within your blog post. Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award. Link back to the person who gave you the award to show your appreciation.

And here's a little about the Friends award:These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to five bloggers who must choose five more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

Now I have seen these awards on most of my fav blogs now so it is going to be hard to pick out five for these so I am going to do just the two.

Missy Jane and Missy Belinda. Two scrappy pals I have met online and both are on my hope to meet one day list.

I took part in my last challenge over at Therapy last night. A farewell challenge set by us dt girls who are all stepping down.

Relsi's part of the challenge was to use two different thickers, PT's part was to use substancial journaling, Mandy's was to use distressed edges and lace and mine was to use a 3d stamped image. All what we think is a part of our signiture style.

Here is my page.

The little white flower above the photo is attached to a tag where I have journaled about how it felt to have Reenie back home after four months when she ran away towards the end of last year.

Over my time spent at Therapy as a forum member and then a part of the dt I have made some good friends. Some who will always hold a special place in my heart and who I one day hope to meet up with.

Some scrapping, some news and a change too

Here are my latest projects. Yeap I have had a scrappy few days.
This is my latest page for STM inspired by the song Free to be me by Francesca Battistelli. So many scrapable lyrics in this weeks song. I also was able to use some of my first dt papers from Just scrapbooking on this layout. I had fun cutting out the flowers and leaves and couldn't help but give Missy some wings as her back is too us in the main photo. I used the butterfly from the Brocante stamp set
Also from the scraps I made up two cards as well.
This one is my fav. I picked up my new Hero Arts stamps a while back and couldn't wait to use them.
And this one. I tried to do a male themed card.

Wicked Princess

Here is my page for this weeks Gluttony challenge. We needed to use a photo centered around food,2 techniques, orange, 4 patterend papers and 6 different embellies.and the card.

We needed to have eat cake on it and I love how this turned out.

52 weeks

Here's may page from a few weeks back.

I have added it to my now very chunky book rings. lol I think I may need to rethingk how I am going to keep these. I'll take a photo of it so far so you can see what I mean when I take a photo of last weeks page which I have not long finished scrapping.

And for some news that made my week out here. Both my Obessed and my Drive me crazy pages posted in the last post ha ve gotten some recognition. Obessed won over at the Ad this site and Drive me crazy was chosen by Karen as layout of the week over a Pages in time. I have pics of them printed out and ready to go to do a page for this week in my 52 week album.

There is a change in the air. Where you may ask. Well I can't tell just now but I'm sure you will like it. I do . All should be revealed very soon hopefully.

Well that is all from me for now. I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow so I had better to go bed. As always thanks for popping in and any comments and till next t ime happy scrap ping/cardmaking.

I' ve been scrapping

Well what else is a scrap nut to do. lol
Have got a few things to share here so here they are.
I am being a bit sneeky with this page. I am going to pop it in for both challenges. As I was pulling out things to add to it and playing around I realised it fitted into both the challenges. We needed to be inspired by an add about socks and part of the add was the word obessed and that is so my Missy about not wanting to wear socks with her boots. I have tried and tried to get her to but she just hates it and I've learnt that it is one battle that isn't worth fighting and she knows not to take her boots off or leave them any where that I am likely to smell them. lol
This weeks challenge was to scrap a layout about your collections and I have been meaning to do one on Missy LPS toys for ages.

and for the card it needed to be a best wishes card.

I used some of my new Purple stamps on these. Some swirlies from the Oranamentals set and the butterfly is on the Brcante set which is on the same page.

This weekend was the monthly Look what we can do with post and here is what I did with a Kaiser Clear album.

I am so not into Mini albums and decided to make up some door hangers instead. If you would like to be in the running for this last one check out my post in the link to the look what we did thread and share with us all photos of some other non mini album ideas for the clear album as I would love to have a few more ideas on what to do with the one page left.

Pages in time

Over at PIT I have set a monthly ABC Twist challenge. Missy pulls out three letters from her Upwords game and I add the twist. This month it is to use the products or techniques starting with the letters E L and F and to use three photos.

Here is my page.I used my embossing punch on the red strip, lace and felt.

52 Weeks

Here is my week 19 page.My week 20 photo of Missy home sick is on my kitchen bench to be scrapped after dinner along with this one for week 21.Yes I came home from my b'day lunch to find half of our back fence blown over in the storms we had.

Well that is about it from me for now.

Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happpy scrapping/card making.

Blog award and another funny story.

I had a nice surprise when I came home from dinner with friends tonight. After I got out of my wet clothes that is. My friends and I decided to go and have a coffee and donut after dinner at a coffee shop about 10 mins walk away. We ended up pilling into two cars and driving over instead. When we got to the coffee shop the two drivers changed their mind about staying for coffee and headed of home. Little did we know that while we were having our coffee it started to rain. One of out friends was getting picked up outside the coffee shop and she offered to drive us to where our cars were but seeing as the car only sat five we all wouldn't fit so we opted for a walk a fast one at that back to the cars. So there we were all giggling and getting soaked walking through the middle of Fremantle. I had a ball in theend. Now that is two night in a row that one of us Dudley girls has ended up looking like a drowned rat.

My surprise was a blog award from Heidi. Thanks ever so much.

Now to pass it on....The Renee Award was created by Bella and Cesin honor of their friend Renee. In Bella's own words: "this is a brand new award and I have the pleasure and honor of spreading the seed, watching it grow. I hope it finds it's way to those who are like Renee: the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak, giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns..."There are no "rules" for claiming this award, but I would suggest the following:Thank the person who nominated you for the Renee Award.Click on the picture above to see it larger, then download it and post it on your blog.Mention the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.Nominate others to receive the award.Comment on their blogs to let them know you nominated them.

This who I am going to pass the award onto:

Purple Share and a mean mummy moment

Hi again all. Three days in a row well that would have to be a first for a while I I got the ok to share my Purple Onion samples for this month from Michele so here they are.
A few weeks back on our wedding aniversary we went of to Tranby House, where we got married, and had fish and chips by the river. I took my camera along and managed to snap a few photos of Missy making mud pies.

I have used the Skinny dip alpha and the Doodled frame set stamps (Not a good photo of it but is on the brown to the left of the photo as a background) as well as the postage mark from the Vintage postmark date set to journal on.

I'll also pop this one into a quote challenge that Kelly set over at Pages in time. When I seen the mudlicious and puddle wonerderful quote in her list I knew that I would be playing along.

It was Craig's dad's birthday yesterday so I played around with making a male card. lol I did have a ribbon threaded through the button but took it out. I used the Demask stamp to make the pattern paper.

It is also our Nieces b'day next week so I did her a card as well.

I used the butterfly from the Brocante set along with girl from the Doodled word set.

Don't forget to check out my Purple Onion rak details. It is open till the 31st May.

Now for my mean mummy moment

After day care today Asher was able to get on the computer and play on the My little pet shop site knowing full well that at 5.00 she would have to get of and into the shower/bath. Well at 5.00 she was asked to get off, she complained a bit and then stormed off into her bedroom where she laid on her bed, sulking and refusing to have a shower/bath. I gave her 5 minutes to make up her mind what she wanted and when she was still complaining at the top of her lungs mind you I gave her something to complain about...................Took her into the bathroom, opened the shower door put her in the shower fully clothed, including joggers and turned on the cold tap full bore. She then started to yell and scream louder but was I listening not until she stopped screaming. She stood in the shower looking like a drowned rat and I am sure she won't be fighting with me over having one again in a hurry.

Anyway that is it from me for now. Till next time thanls for stopping by, any comments and happy scrapping/card making.

Just a quick pop in

for all you cardies out there.
2S4U and card challenge blog I pop into very now and then is having a 1st birthday party. It's worth while checking out.

I was lucky

to get to scrap this layout for a friend for this weeks Scrapping the music challenge. When we were out cropping on Friday night Tamara was showing some photos that she had taken the weekend before and seeing as I could work several of the photos around the lyrics for the latest song I asked if I could scrap nap her hubbie and little girl. I'll pass this on to you the next time we catch up.
Till next time thanks for popping in and any comments and happy scrapping.

A small share

Yeap just the one I can show you for now. That and some photos.
I have worked on my Purple Onion and Scrapping the music pages and can't share then just yet. Will share the STM page tomorrow with a big thanks to Missy Tamara who allowed me to scrap her hubbie and little girl.
The challenge this week was to use dots. So I pulled out my new russian doll stamps and used the dotty scalloped border and scalloped circle on this card for my friend Jane whose b'day it is today.
52 weeks
I've yet to scrap my pic from the week before but here is last weeks one.
Missy wasn't feeling too well at school on Thursday so she came home early and vegged on the couch for most of the afternoon. Yeap my cheeky crossed eyed girl and her cat too.
Finally I got around to taking a photo of the rak I have up for grabs.A bundle of papers, a mix of old and new, some pre loved stamps and a new one as well that I ended up with a double of, a bag with a few ribbons and embellies in, some hand made cards, rubons and whatever else I may decide to pop in before taping it up for postage.
Seeing as I was a bit late in posting the photo of the rak I am going to keep it open till the 31st May. For details for of what you need to do to be included in the draw check out the blog rak link at the top of this section of the post.
Well as always thanks for popping in,any comments and till next time, tomorrow happy scrapping and card making.

Some pages and some news too

I've had a nice and relaxing first week of long service and have done not much of anything at all. A little housework, some food shoppping and some scrapping too.
My missy ended up coming home from school at lunch time today as she wasn't feeling well, felt hot but no temp and has been sleeping most of the arvo on the lounge. Hope she is feeling better for school tomorrow as I was going to be heading up to the craft fair with a friend and if not Craig is just going to have to have a day home on Saturday with her.
Here is what I have done.

This weeks challenge was to do a pale blue monocramatic layout including a hand made embellie, stitching and a non scrapping product with the theme of sloth and I so had to scrap this photo of our Reenie spread out sound asleep on Missy's bean bag. I used bubble wrap as my non scrap item and made up a flower with some lace and ribbon.
It just so happened that my new lot of Purple stamps came in yesterday so I used the Doodled frame set to make my cloud window and the title box and a triangle shaped stamp from the Ornamentals set to do my trees.

123 Challenge

It has been a while since I have played along with a 123 chalenge and I had some fun with this one using up some older papers in my stash. We had to include a long mixed alpha title, a journal spot and three ribbons.

I used my favorite journal stamp from Purple Onion the Scallop circle and just added some lines to journal on.

Just scrapping

I took home some of the new Wisteria papers the other day to put togther a card set class. Here is a sneek peek of what I came up with.A date is yet to be set but I'll update the side bar when it is.

And as for my news. Jordie has asked me to be a part of the design team there. I picked up my first pack today and can't wait to have a play with it and my new Hero Arts stamps.

Well that is it from me for now as always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Belinda, Relsi,PT and Mandy. Past and present dters. Working along side you all has been an experience I'll always rememebr thanks for the inspritation.
The Therapy forum girls- I am so not going to mention any names here as there is no way I'd rememebr you all lol. Thanks for playing along with my challenges, games and classes. I can still rememeber my first class and how I had you all totally confussed with a few blind scraps too. Thanks for the laughs and then hugs when needed. You girls are what make Therapy a place I am still going to call home.
I have seen a few blogs around that have got little links on the bottom of the post to past posts on their blog. It is called a link within I think. I have had a look around to see if I can work out how it is done but can't find anything. So if anyone knows how to can they pass it on please.
Thanks for popping in and any comments and till next time happy scrapping.

Just a little share

Just a little share today with my latest Stm page tomorrow.
When I seen the details of the latest challenge to make up a card using a quote or a verse I knew just which stamp I was going to use.
52 weeks
My missy with her ASJ page. She is still excited about it and keeps on asking if her page is still up. I have the wrong date on this so will have to fix it up. I was at a friends place scrapping it and checked her calander for the date and it wasn't till an hour or so later we realised that she hadn't changed from April to May. lol
I was going to take my camera to work on Friday and take a photo of the building seeing as it was my last day for 14 weeks but forgot so I grabbed one of my work shirts and took a photo of that out side for last weeks photo.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't forget to pop in and check out the details of a rak. I'm yet to take a photo of the goodies but will try and do so tomorrow.
Till then thanks for stopping by, any comments and happy scrapping.

Some more scrapping and some news too

Wicked Princess
I managed to do this week Wrath challenge for Wicked Princess yesterday after changing my mind a few times on just what to do it on I settled on how angry it made me feel when Asher and I would argue over what she would and wouldn't wear. Now I don't argue and to a certain extent I just let her wear what she wants and hope that one day she will wear the things she wont now. It is a very long list.

The card challenge this week was to make a sorry card so I used up some of the scraps from my layout to make a thinking of you card.

Make sure if you are about tomorrow that you pop into Therapy as there is some news that will be announced.

Anyway till next time Happy scrapping and thanks for any comments.

Scrapping the music and some Purple onion goodies

I've got some scrapping projects to share and some rak details too so here goes.

This weeks song is Secret Valentine by We the kings. When going through the lyrics I found it pretty hard trying to pick out something to use and then I rememeber this photo I took of Asher jumping up and down in excitement when they called out for any flounders caught in the swan fish she entered a few months ago with Craig. Shy is so not a word I would use to describe my Missy. lol
Sassafraslass, Pink Paislee, We are Memory Keepers and Basic Grey papers, American Craft and Making Memories letters
I emailed my Purple Onion April samples over to Michelle durring the week and she gave me the go ahead to post them.
On this one I used the Hopscotch alphabet, Scallops and Filigree corner.
Basic Grey papers
On this card I used the Scallops again to form a flower.
Kraft and Bazzil cardstock,Basic grey paper, Prima leaves and flowers, Hambly transperancy,American Craft letters,Kaiser Craft pearls.
On this one I used the Hopscotch aplha and the Delux labels.
Bassil and Kraft cardstock, Kaiser Craft flowers, Basic Grey letters
Kraft cardstock, Websters paper, Prima flower
Now this is something I did up for last months samples. It contains 4 small thank you cards and it will be part of a rak that I'll be posting out to one of my blog readers.
Details of how the rak will work. Click on the Purple Onion link at the top of this section of my post and it will take you to the shop. Check out the shop and then email me the name of the stamp I used by the 31st May and I'll pick out a random winner for my rak from the emails.
I'll put together a rak and post a photo of it durring the week.
Till then thanks for stopping by, any comments and happy scrapping/cardmaking.

Cropping fun and a photo too

I've had some fun chatting and scrapping this weekend over in Therapy for the cyber crop and in Pages In Time for their NSBD CROP.
Here is what I can share for now.
Yeap the girls are cyber cropping and retreating in the same weekend. I so wish I was able to be over there right now. Oh well here's hopping for next year and a little bridietold methat Mandy and Michelle are making sure I have ample of room to join them in my dreams. lol
This month I got to set the card challenge and I got the girls to try their hands at making flowers. Something I am loving at the moment as you can tell from some of my projects.

Cosmo Cricket papers, Hero Arts stamps and Stampin up punches.
Now the challenges aren't due till midnight tomorrow so if you are lucky enough not to be working pop on over and check them out.
I've also been working on a few other projects for Therapy but can't share just yet.
For the first time ever I played along with some challenges for NSBD. It is so big over in America with crops online and face to face ones happening all over.
I was lucky enough to get four challenges done. Maninly because you were able to do a layout or a card. I went with the card option for three of them knowing that I didn't have much time to scrap today after not finishing my STM layout till early this morning.
Handmade flower challenge.
Kraft and Bazzil cardstock, Prima and Sceneic Route papers, American Craft letters.
For the flower I punched out a scalloped circile and circle then layered them with a length of lace and a button.
I used a few extra pics I printed and didn't use from when I did my backyard wrestle layout a few months back. Both Asher and I hate Craig giving us Raspberries and that is what he is doing here when we set up the remote contol to take some family pics. lol I don't think I ended up with one nice one in the end.
Card challenge.
Kraft and Bazzil card stock,Purple Onion stamps,Carolee's Craetions letters, Prima packaging.
For this challenge we had to do some paper piecing, stamping and to use something recylced, either all three on one card or one on three. I went for the all three on one option using one of my new Purple Onion stamps. It is a scalloped one and I chopped it in half then re arranged them curved edge in to form the flower. Reminds me of the Pink Paislee ones.
Multi paper challenge.Kraft cardstock,Basic Grey papers and number, Making Memories letters.
For this one we had to use 4 patterned papers and shock horror. No flowers. Lucky for me I needed a boys b'day card.
Doodle challenge. My Minds Eye papers, Kaiser and Bazzil flowers and Stampin up punch
lol for this one I sort of had a head start. The base of the card had already been done and it just needed the flower and punchie to finish it of. Another couple of blank cards to have on hand just in case.

52 Weeks

Here is my photo from last week. When I got the email from Lou asking if Asher wanted to be the JGDT over at ASJ I knew what I would be taking a photo of lol.She was so wrapped when shewoke up on Saturday morning and I showed the site too her.

Well I think that is about all for now. I do have a few Purple projects to share but I think I have shared enough for now don't you. lol

Till next time, tomorrow when I'll post the next Stm challenge and my Purple projects thanks for popping, any comments and happy stamping/cardmaking.
