I've had a scrap happy weekend.

and have a bit to share a little later on in this post.

This week has been a quiet one out here. As dh had hurt his back and was off work for most of the week but needed to go into work for an important meeting on Monday and couldn't drive, guess who had to take the day of work to play chauffeur. Me.

Tuesday was my usual scrapy morning at Just Scrapping where Lou gave me my latest dt pack. Yummy Prima papers. I have got one layout sorted and another laid out on the kitchen bench half done. Seeing as DH was of at home I didn't have to race of to pick up Missy from school so stayed to chat with lou and some of the girls after Lou's class for a while. I so enjoy my Tuesdays.

Wednesday and Thursday was work for me and Friday well that was a right off. I spent most of Thursday night tossing and turning with tummy pains and woke up to an upset tummy. Spent most of the day sleeping or on the toilet.

Lucky for me I felt better when I woke up on Saturday as I would hate to miss my monthly crop day at Made with Memories. I finished a layout that was half done, came home with two more layouts, two cards and another card half done.

Sunday was a lazy day at home and I did some more cards in between washing and then we went out for dinner.

Here is what I have done.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stampavie

The latest challenge is to make up a card that was white with a touch of one colour.

Here is what I have done using one of my favorite stamps from the Lime Tart store.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Card patterns

This card is done for the latest sketch over at Card patterns.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cardvarks

I have made this one up for the monochromatic challenge at Cardvarks. I like the sketch from Card patterns so much I used it again.

and as you can tell from the three cards I am loving my nesties.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Colour Room.

Is a new challenge blog I have stumbled on and here is my layout for Palette 3.

Blue, Mauve, white and green.

I used some of my Purple Onion stamps on this one.
Numbers from the Brocante set, Butterflies from the Vintage butterfly set on the same page and a Fanciful label.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scrap the girls

It's been a while since I played along with this challenge blog.

For the challenge we had to use 5 buttons, 4 pps, 3 flowers, 2 pics and 1 alpha

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just scrapbooking

Here is the first of my dt layouts with the Prima papers that Lou gave me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some scrapping to share yet again lol

This week has been a busy one and it ended with a big scrappy weekend with me being lucky enough to spend sometime scrapping with friends on both Saturday and Sunday. Lucky me. I'll share what I have done a little later on it the post.

On Monday we got hit with some storms. Lots of wind, rain and hail and a bit of damage about too. At work our power went of, out for nearly 24 hours. We, Craig and I ended up with some hail dents in our cars. Nothing major though, thankfully as it would of been a long wait for a panel beater to fix it. Craig snapped this pic of Missy holding one of the hail stones that fell out at Mum's.

On Tuesday I popped down to one my local where I dt at for my usual scrap morning only to find that the power was out. I didn't get to do as much scrapping, spent most of the time chatting with Lou, Jordie, Mardi and topping up mu stash of Copic markers.

OnFriday Missy had crazy hair day at school so I raided to craft cupboard at work for some pipe cleaners and wound then around 5 piggies in her hair. lol She called herself the red back spider princess.

On the way out the door for school we noticed a parcel on our doorstep for Missy. She was so excited about it and here she is with some of what was inside.

An assortment of toys all the way from America from one of the players over at the Shabby blog, Zandra. She read on my blog a while back about Missy and the love she has for her Pet shop toys and offered to send some of them over for her that used to be her daughters, Gabby. Well they couldn't find them and sent over these instead.
Thanks ever so much to you both. Missy has played with them all weekend.

Well that's my weekly wrap up. Here is what I have done scrappy wise this week.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just scrapbooking.

When I was down there last week Jordie gave me some Grahic 45 papers to play around with for a possible heritage class. Here is sneak of what I came up with. Just a sneak for now until Jordie has seen the whole thing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enchanted.

Were cyber cropping this weekend. I only got to one of the challenges, Tiff's scrap lift one. Here is what I came up with.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motivet and Stampavie

Now that I have got a small stash of Copic markers I have been having fun colouring in some of my Stamp images.

Here are some cards that I have created.

I got this cute hippo from Motivet in a swap with the girls over at Lime Tart and the bunny one I got in my bundle of goodies from a Stampavie challenge I won a while back.

I have done up the Easter card for the latest Stampavie Easter challenge.
I still have to master the blending of colours but I am getting there slowly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enchanted.

I have been playing along with the monthly photo swaps and this month I swapped with Ellen. Here is a sneak of what I have done. Will share the whole layout once Ellen has it.

Well that is all from me for now. Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Layouts, cards and photo's too

It has been a busy weekend out here. One that started with a big drama.

Friday night was my monthly Friday crop at one of my locals. I had a blast there but things happened at home. I will just say I wasn't happy about it all.

Here are a few snaps of my girl in her new clothes and one of me, double chin and all.

Today I did a little housework and then went of to another lss where I taught my monthly heritage class. I enjoyed the class and already next months is fully booked with a wait list.

Here is what I have to share.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lime Tart

Over on the Lime Tart blog it has been my week for posting. I ended it with a step post on adding texture to your layouts and this is the layout I did.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scrap it lah.

I have been finding some new to me challenge blogs lately and decided to play along with the Scrap it lah holiday photo challenge. Another Aussie day layout.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stampavie

The challenges have started up again on the Stampavie blog. This one is for the current spring challenge. I left it sentiment less and will add something later.

This image isn't in stock at Lime Tart at the moment but keep an eye out as you never know when more will be coming in.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mystical and Kraft it up.

I shared the sneak of this layout last Sunday. Here it is in full now that Tam has seen it in email. I have it here and will pass it on next time we see each other at a crop.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just scrapbooking

This is my latest dt page. I really struggled with the papers this time round. They really did my head in. Thanks Missy Lou lol.

And this is the class I taught today.

Well girls if you have gotten this far thanks. I didn't realize it was going to be a long one. lol

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and till next time happy creating.

Some scrapping to share and a rak up for grabs

I headed of to my monthly crop day yesterday and had a ball. Yummy food, great company, lots of laughs.
Here is what I did.
Sleep over invites x 2.
Missy is having a sleep over with two friends for her birthday. On the back is the little invite we typed out.

I used the Just a note stamp from the Circles set II and the frame from the Doodle frame set Purple Onion stamps.

Two layouts.

This one is for challenge four of the Carols comp over at Enchanted. We had a shorter time to do this one seeings as we were dashing through the snow, laughing and singing songs in a one horse open sleigh.

We had to use 1 photo of someone laughing and music paper. This is Missy laughing during last years christmas photo shoot.

I had some more fun with Purple Onion stamps. This time the Early 1900's music background along with the Lizzibelle alpha that Philiippa has up in the Lime tart shop. As you can tell it is becoming a favorite of mine.

This layout is for a colour challenge over at Artistic set by Kym. The colours were Brown, Orange and Green. The Basic Grey background I picked to use is more of a greenie brown so I have my brown, a touch in the twine.

Along with the Lizzebelle alphas I have used the Purple Onion Summer themed note block stamp.

I started to work on a Christmas twinchie for the current challenge over at Inkurable stampers before heading home from the crop and was able to finish it today in between doing some washing and just hanging out with Missy.

Here is the Twinchie with Missy's new Christmas toy who she has named Santa Paws.

and on a card.

I have used the Winter wonderland tape from the Holiday border tape set and the snow man and tree from the Celebitties Purple Onion stamp sets.

I also made another card at the crop but won't show it up here as it is to go with the one that was done up for the latest Stampavie challenge that has been accepted for publication asa set of three. One down another to go. Just waiting on another few images to come in from Rach as I used the last one I had here and I'll do the third one.

Seeing as I needed to put together another b'day card for Missy as well as a post for the Lime Tart blog to go up in the week I decided to kill two birds with one card and created this.

Oops think I should leave this one of for now. Lol will pop it up once it has gone up on the blog.

I used up some scraps from one of my old A la tart kits and a Sweet Lili Stampavie image that I received as part of a image swap with the Lime Tart girls. Lucky me I have one of my own on it's way very soon.

Would you all like to play a little guessing game though to see if you can guess just what my tip post on the blog will involve. I'll have a little bundle of cards up for grabs for the first person to guess.

The tip I'll be sharing is

-something I tend to do a lot on my cards but not often on my layouts

-similar to a tip post that was posted by Rach a while back on the Lime Tart blog but using something different

-I have 36 of something that I'll be using but would love to add to my collection if I can

Speaking of Raks if you are reading this Gladie can you email me your addie as I owe you some cards from the name my owls rak I posted a while back.

Well I think that is it from me for now. I have a date with my dd in the kitchen to make Fruit smoothies. She has been wanting to make some all day and I had convinced her to wait till tomorrow as a treat before we head out to her dancing concert rehersals but that was before she has something in her eye that I couldn't get out and I had to pretty much tie her down while dh was out getting fish and chips for tea and flush her eye with water to get it out. So it is fruit smoothies now as a bribe for letting me do what I had to go.

Anyway as always thanks for popping in and any comments you may leave and till nexttime happy scrapping.

Make a scene challenge card

The latest challenge over at the Stampavie dt blog is to create a scene on a card. It look me a while to work out just what I was going to do as I don't really have any scene type of stamps until I remembered my stash of Webster pages papers.

I packed them with my goodies and headed of to my LSS for my Wednesday crop and played around with my Stampavie images, papers and flowers and came up with this. I so love how it turned out in the end although I was driving Lou just a tad crazy with getting her opinion on things here and there.
I so hope my Miss likes her 9th b'day card.

I used a Rachelle Anne Miller Lily and Milo stamp that is up in the Lime Tart store.
Till next time thanks for popping by and happy scrapping or stamping.

a big post.

with a bit to share.
I have had a busy but good week out here. Made even better to find out that I was the winner of Mysticals family ties competition. So can't wait to catch up with Donna for a coffee and see my goodies.
I did my usual Wednesday. Sent Missy of to school, quickly packed up some supplies and headed of to scrap at Just scrapbooking for a few hours. While there I managed to do one of my dt layouts. A big thanks to Philippa who let me scrap nap one of her photos.

Yesterday was the usual swimming. I so hate the Saturday swimming lessons and definitely will not be doing it again. If I can't get Missy in after school on a Wednesday it is so going to be Craig's job on one of Missy daycare days after school. After swimming we headed out to the shops as I needed a new bag. When I got in the car to go home on Friday I noticed the the straps were looking a little worn and when I got out once home it snapped. Here is my new bag and last weeks photo for my 52 week album. Now I am behind in scrapping them again. lol

After we got back from the shops I did some scrapping, dh cooked tea and Missy decided she wanted to sleep in the lounge so all the cushions were pulled of the lounge and a bed was made. Today I quickly did up a few Christmas cards and then it was time to clean the house.

Here is what I have been up to scrapping wise and can share.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lets get shabby

Over at Shabby it was my turn this challenge for the mid challenge step post and I have shared just how I did my patterned paper flowers on my current challenge sample page.

Also if you pop on over to the blog at the moment you will see that the girls have been up to some christmas card making. We have a card rak up at the moment and here is one lot of cards and a few scrappy goodies that are up for grabs. My card is the one on the left. I forgot to take seperate pics of it this morning in the rush to take these. There is also going to be a surprise or two as some are still in transit to me.

We are asking that you all pop in an share your favorite christmas memory and all the girls are going to share theirs too. Here is mine.

When I was little I can always remember christmas at my Nan's place. Mum has a brother and I can remember all the adults 6 of them and us 6 grandies crowed arounds Nan's table. It always used to seem so big. I have inherated the table which dosen't seem so big these days.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aussie scrapjack

The new jack is up and here is my page. I jacked Belinda's page.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have started a new comp called Fa la la. Challenges inspired by christmas carols. Here is my page for the first challenge.

The song this time round was All I want for Christmas and we had to use two, no smiling photos and have all I want in the title or journaling.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The latest challenge is up and this time it is a sketch. I had fun doing up this little post it note cover and matching pencil using my A la tart kit this month. This kit is full of yummy Cosmo goodies and has sold out already. So if you missed out it maybe worth while checking out a subscription.
Any way I think that is enough from me for now. I'm of to check a few of my fav forums and then it si of to bed for me.
Till net time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

Lime tart sneeks

well sort of lol.
I have been having a bit of fun playing with my next Lime tart kit working on a step post and a card for the latest Stampavie blog challenge and even though the kit isn't do to be revealed until the 1st I am giving you a sneek of some of the goodies included.
Here is the card I created for the Halloween themed challenge. Using one of the owls from the cute Hoo hoo there stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller. This one is sold out but there are some others in stock.I coloured in a black mask on his face to dress him up. I did try and add a cape to him but couldn't get it to look right.

Want to know how I made these sweet lily like flowers that I added onto my handmade branch?

Well then click on the lily link and it will take you to the blog.

The flowers I used are a part of my kit this month and are very sweet.

Lime Tart news and a card too

Lime Tart is going to be starting something new. If you want to see just how you can win this scrummy scrappy pack

you had better pop into the blog on the 6th Oct to find out.

I also played along with the current Stampavie challenge which is an autumn theme. Here is what I came up with
using my favorite new stamp that I got from the Lime Tart shop.

These two little owls are going to be well used that I think they really need names. So pop in a few suggestions in the comments section on this post and Asher and I will each pick out our favorite name. So what do you get in the way of naming rights well as few stamped images of course as well as a scrappy rak.

Till next time thanks for popping in,any comments and happy scrapping.
